Observations/Techniques
This Darden Cemetery is located behind the old Darden home (now the Hobbs residence) off of Orbit Road
about 9 miles south of Smithfield
Volunteers were careful not to disturb gravesite artifacts and carefully worked with a soft brush using a mixture
of shaving cream and water to clean and make legible the inscriptions on the stones. Water was then used to
remove any residue from the stones.
