It works on several aspects of prediction of protein structure & function employing techniques at the intersection between biology, medicine, chemistry, physics & computer science. Our aim is to integrate the development of novel methods and their application to biologically relevant problems. Current Lines of Research: several aspects of prediction of protein structure & function employing what is generally termed, depending on the context, bioinformatics or computational biology. In particular, the main lines of research include: Comparative Modelling and Fold Recognition De Novo Folding and Local Sequence-Structure Relationship Prediction of Structural Features Linked to Function Energy Functions for Proteins Sequence-to-Structure Alignment Automated Structural Annotation Detailed Analysis of Selected Protein Families Structural bioinformatics of disease proteins Website: http://protein.bio.unipd.it/ Erasmus Mundus Mobility with Asia (EMMA)
