Tim Allen Tim Allen is a famous comedian, actor, and author who has brought millions of laughs all over world. He had a difficult childhood because his dad died. His adulthood was thriving with excitement. Also his many achievements have made him known to many people. Tim Allen’s childhood was especially challenging. Tim Allen was born on June 13, 1953 in Denver Colorado. He came from a large family of six brothers and three sisters. Tim Allen was inspired by his father, he wanted to have the courage and determination that he did. Sadly in 1964 Allen’s father was killed by a drunk driver one night when coming home from a football game. Two years later in 1966 the family of eleven moved to Detroit, Michigan, Allen’s mother’s hometown because she thought it would be easier. Later that year she married her high school sweetheart, Bill Bones. Tim Allen went to Birmingham Seaholm high school where he graduated. Tim Allen has enjoyed a very successful life. In 1971 he went to Central Michigan University. However two years later he transferred to Western Michigan University. Once he graduated college he met Eric Head, a famous comedian. Head thought Allen was so funny he got him a job at Comedy Castle. In 1980 Tim Allen was arrested on a drug charge. While he was in jail he made his cell mates and the guards laugh. Finally he got out of jail in 1981. In 1984 he settled down and started a family. He married Laura Diebel and had one daughter. Tragically in March of 2003 Tim Allen and Laura Diebel got divorced. They now share custody over their daughter. Tim Allen had a flourishing career. He had many jobs of being a stand up comedian. He starred in Home Improvement, which was one of the most watched TV shows. After eight seasons he quit. Allen also wrote two books. One of them turned out to be a best seller, “Don’t Stand Too Close to a Naked Man”. Tim Allen was also in a collection of movies, Shaggy Dog, Santa Clause one through three, Toy Story as the voice of Buzz Lightyear, and many more. Often critics gave bad reviews but the movies always had good ratings by the viewers. He now has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contribution to television. Tim Allen had a complicated early life. His later years brought many accomplishments. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. He could make almost anybody laugh.
