The courses in the MPhil and PhD school (école doctorale) are not open in the programs of International Relations and “Histoire et théorie du politique” 1 Sciences Po Exchange Programs 2007-2008 For courses taught in French: French language Required level of language proficiency proficiency is needed. For courses taught in English: (English, Italian, German, Chinese, Korean, English language proficiency is needed for non-native Japanese, etc.) speakers. In both cases we ask for a certificate issued by the language department of the home institution. Universities in a non-English speaking country: Do you offer courses in English? General information on your University Please use additional paper if necessary At the undergraduate level whole English tracks exist: European studies, economics and finance, law, political science, history, journalism, international affairs, French studies, sustainable development, etc. At the Master level a number of courses are taught in English. Academic Calendar (2007-2008) Application procedure (description) Selection by partner university must be announced to Sciences Po. The student sends an electronic application file and paper documents. Evaluation by our international relations manager. Acceptation letters are send electronically and my postal mail. Will you send transcripts to Sciences Po directly to the students or to both? Transcripts are automatically send to the institutions, students may ask to receive the transcripts personally by providing a pre-paid envelope. Deadline to send application December and April Fall semester (sem. 1) Students are expected to be present at: Orientation program during September, courses start early October 2 Sciences Po Exchange Programs 2007-2008 Spring semester (sem. 2) Students are expected to be present at: Orientation program during February, courses start end Feb. Official nomination by the host institution Sciences Po nominates the outgoing students end January 3 Sciences Po Exchange Programs 2007-2008 Pre-sessional Language and Orientation Programs Attendance (optional or mandatory) Optional but recommended Start/end dates September: French for three weeks, mid September 2 weeks methodology/orientation. Possibility to take only methodology/orientation. Mid-February: 2 weeks of language and methodology or methodology only. Fees (if exchange students are required to pay) In September: Long session with French 350€, short methodology/orientation programme: 50€.
