Design and implementation of small-scale projects to enhance literacy standards in primary age pupils using small group work.

What basic training would the teacher be required to have?

The provision of opportunity to disadvantaged groups to develop the competencies needed by society. Especially appealing is not restricting coverage, to ensure that no one is left behind.
I like the ideas of trainers having to work in pairs and in groups greating their own programs. I believe that the collaborating team effort and opportunity to learn from your own mistakes and those of your peers is helpful.
Question- are their plans to try a top down approach?
Grenada
The Provision of guidelines and evaluation ensure high levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
This approach, which promotes discovery and involvement including the development of programs, can serve as a model to other countries.
Trinidad and Tobago
1.) A support system is required for own initiatives like this to be successful and sustainable.
2.) The political will must be present and well offered for the project to work.
3.) A project that compliments and promotes life long learning for all citizens.
OECS/OERU
The essential ingredient in the initiative is the level of partnership that has been developed between the foundation and the government; as well as a partnership between Costa Rica and the
International Community in computers and electronics.
The issue in the Caribbean is the mechanism that needs to be implemented to grasp the private international interests. What is the incentive for Microsoft in relation to the English- speaking

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
In our country we are establishing computer labs in all of our education institutions, but we are not even sure what to do with our computers. What I have learned from the presenters is that we have gone about it in the wrong way- we have to focus on using this technology as a vehicle for promoting learning: for children performance, rather than for technology itself.
I would like to have the information in full as well as the relevant website. I would like to communicate with Omar Dengo.
Antigua and Barbuda
The objects are national and measurable. An evaluation process was utilized. The matter of training/ re-training of the teacher facilitators is a critical element in the project. Actually the
“financing” of the project supports and sustains its quality and equity delivery.
Saint Lucia

El Salvador
The agreement/ relationships between the Ministry of Education and the Omar Dengo foundation is like one we have in El Salvador, between the Ministry of Education and the fundacion amigos la educacion. So I would like to know how the idea started, how much money, and how the
“endowment works”
Belize
Very impressive approach taken by Costa Rica toward introducing technology. We stated putting computers in schools 2 years ago, but after the presentation, it appears we were doing something wrong. Rather than only putting computers in schools we need to put in place a comprehensive plan based on the vision and intricacies education informatics.
