Course Requirements:
All students will maintain a journal that contains observations of their clinical rotations as well
as any handouts, assignments, notes, and quizzes. Students will behave in a professional
manner at all time when they are job shadowing their clinical site. He/she will demonstrate
practical applications of medical terminology, infection control procedures, hospital safety, and
body mechanics both from class work and in their clinical rotation. Good attendance is a
mandatory requirement to pass your clinical rotations, job shadowing, or internships. Due to
the near impossibility of making up more than one missed rotation at your assigned medical
facility, absences must be kept minimal to succeed in this course.
We are guests at the medical facility where the clinical rotations occur. All students are
expected to behave in a professional manner and abide by the facilities rules. Any student
who fails to conduct him/herself in a professional manner or leaves the medical facility without
the instructor’s permission will incur a failing grade for the six weeks and may be banned
