Hibernia College Camogie Scholarships 1. Eligibility to get Authorisation Code Must be a registered and active member of the Camogie Association for at least the last three years. Must be an active player or administrator within the club for at least the last three years. This scholarship is open to players at all levels who have shown a commitment to camogie. The scholarship is also open to coaches, referees and administrators. Student must continue involvement in Camogie for the duration of the scholarship 2. Information required from Personal Statement Detailed account of their involvement in camogie at club, school and/or at county level as a coach, player, referee or administrator Outline areas of interest/expertise that they would be able to contribute to for the benefit of the Camogie Association at local, county, regional or national levels if they were to receive a scholarship Outline any other outstanding academic/personal or sporting achievement to date. Applicants must declare all relevant grants/scholarships that they are in receipt of (sporting and non-sporting). 3. Assignment of Tasks by The Camogie Association Tasks will be assigned under a number of the following headings: o Coaching o Refereeing o Schools development o Administration Successful candidates will be advised on an individual basis of their assigned tasks, the expected outcomes of the tasks and of the reports/deadlines that have to be completed or met. Successful candidates must agree to complete the following training over the course of their academic programme on a schedule defined by the Camogie Association in conjunction with Hibernia College o o o o Background on the Camogie Association and Scholarship scheme with Hibernia College Complete Gaelic Games Family Pre-service course. Complete camogie First whistle referee course. Complete tutor training for a first whistle referee course. Successful candidates must commit to making a contribution to the promotion of camogie within Hibernia College over the course of their academic studies Successful candidates must meet all the requirements of their assigned tasks. The Camogie Association in conjunction with Hibernia College reserves the right to withdraw a scholarship from any recipient that does not complete their assigned tasks/duties or brings the Camogie Association into disrepute. The scholarships will be reviewed at the end of each academic year and if candidates are not deemed to have met the necessary requirements to progress in their studies the Camogie Association in conjunction with Hibernia College reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship.
