a) MOTION--ELECTRONIC BILLBOARDS:
The CD11 Transportation Advisory Committee opposes the efforts by Lamar Central Outdoor, as well as CBS
Outdoor and Clear Channel, or any other billboard operators in Los Angeles, to file suit or to attempt to force the
City of Los Angeles in any other way, to allow for the conversion of Lamar's traditional billboards to
digital/electronic format, or to restore operations of digital/electronic billboards already declared illegal, in that
their negative effects on transportation (such as distracting motorists) are hazardous and inappropriate for smooth
and steady traffic flow.
b) MOTION: BUS-ONLY LANES AND ACCESS TO BUS TRANSIT CENTERS
Whereas, since Bus Transit Centers are critical for riders to begin a trip, end a trip, or transfer between buses of
the same agency, such as from one Metro Bus to another, or from one agency to another, such as from a Metro Bus
to a Culver City Bus, and
Whereas, since there are delays to the buses' times caused by non-buses sharing the same roadways for the Bus
Transit Centers, and interfering with the buses,
Therefore, the CD11 Transportation Advisory Committee supports the policy that for all Bus Transit Centers
there are Bus Only Lanes for entry into and exit out of Bus Transit Centers, and that all non-bus vehicles should
be prohibited from Bus Transit Centers except for official bus agency business and emergencies.
c) MOTION—NATIVE TREES FOR CRENSHAW/LAX LIGHT RAIL LINE
The CD11 Transportation Advisory Committee supports the replacement of non-native plants and/or planting of
drought-tolerant native plants, whenever possible, for the Metro Crenshaw/LAX Light Rail Line corridor, and
reaffirms its support for this endeavor for any trees and plants of the Westside Segment of the Exposition Light
Rail Line
d) MOTION—HINDRY STATION LAND USE/RECLAMATION/TRAFFIC PLAN
The CD11 Transportation Advisory Committee requests that the CD11 office, working in conjunction with Metro,
create a zoning, traffic and land use Station Plan for the rail right of way and the land adjacent for the future
