Decoration : red rubrics and caps ; running Book titles in brown ink sur rounded by red rectangle. Edges trimmed, contemporary binding of calf over oak boards (10mm. thick). Three fillets in blind forming rectangle in which are two diagonals, each of three fillets. Remains of metal clasps on back cover. Five holes in quincunx, studs removed. Corner edges and at top and bottom near the spine are brass plates. Inside the back cover is an iron stud which probably held a chain.
