We’ve said it before and we will say it again. It’s a great time to be a Creationist!
God has gifted us in the past month with information on His ultimate data system,
built into our genome. He has sent us via 32 science laboratories in six countries
unmistakable information demonstrating conclusively that we did not happen by
accident but were specifically designed by Him! The fantasy of “junk DNA” has been
thoroughly debunked in the secular scientific journals and most of the mechanisms
for evolution to occur in the DNA have been shown to be pure fantasies by this new
data!
This is what you will find in our lead article on the Encode Project and the results
of 32 labs working in concert. We also have a startling article on how President
Obama believes that we (and himself) are descended from reptiles, that
evolution is a fact and that anyone who disputes this is not only ignorant, but is
“hurting our students.”

No such thing as 'junk' DNA in human genome,
ENCODE project discovers

An international project studying the human genome has found that much of what has been
called ‘junk DNA’ in the human genome in fact plays an essential role in gene activity.
The discovery, made by the hundreds of scientists in the multinational ENCODE Project, shows
that the DNA between the genes is actually a massive control panel with millions of switches
regulating the activity of our genes. Without these switches, genes would not work. In addition,
mutations in these regions might lead to human disease.
The new information is so comprehensive and complex that it has given rise to a new publishing
model for the human genome in which electronic documents and datasets are interconnected.
Just as the Human Genome Project revolutionized biomedical research, ENCODE will drive new
understanding and open new avenues for biomedical science. Led by the National Genome
Research Institute (NHGRI) in the US and the EMBL-European Bioinformatics Institute
(EMBL-EBI) in the UK, ENCODE now presents a detailed map of genome function that
identifies 4 million gene ‘switches’. This essential reference will help researchers pinpoint very
specific areas of research for human disease.
The findings are published in 30 connected, open-access papers appearing in three science
journals: Nature, Genome Biology and Genome Research.
ENCODE researchers found that most of our DNA has a function:
controlling when and where genes are turned on and off.
Alive with gene switches
“Our genome is simply alive with switches: millions of places that determine whether a gene is
switched on or off,” says Ewan Birney of EMBL-EBI, lead analysis coordinator for ENCODE.
“The Human Genome Project showed that only 2% of the genome contains genes, the
instructions to make proteins. With ENCODE, we can see that around 80% of the genome is
actively doing something. We found that a much bigger part of the genome, a surprising amount,
in fact, is involved in controlling when and where proteins are produced, than in simply
manufacturing the building blocks.”…
"ENCODE gives us a set of very valuable leads to follow to discover key mechanisms at play in
health and disease. Those can be exploited to create entirely new medicines, or to repurpose
existing treatments.”
“ENCODE gives us the knowledge we need to look beyond the linear structure of the genome to
how the whole network is connected,” commented Dr Michael Snyder, professor and chair at
Stanford University and a principal investigator on ENCODE.
“We are beginning to understand the information generated in genome-wide association studies
— not just where certain genes are located, but which sequences control them. Because of the
complex, three-dimensional shape of our genome, those controls are sometimes far from the
gene they regulate and looping around to make contact.
"Were it not for ENCODE, we might never have looked in those regions. This is a major step
toward understanding the wiring diagram of a human being. ENCODE helps us look deeply into
the regulatory circuit that tells us how all of the parts come together to make a complex being.”
To give some sense of the scale of the project: ENCODE combined the efforts of 442 scientists
in 32 labs in the UK, US, Spain, Switzerland, Singapore and Japan. They generated and analyzed
over 15 terabytes (15 trillion bytes) of raw data, all of which is now publicly available. The study
used around 300 years’ worth of computer time studying 147 tissue types to determine what
turns specific genes on and off, and how that ‘switch’ differs between cell types…

All of this sounds awfully complex and it is! This new and amazing amount of data on our
DNA shows that our DNA is so amazingly complex that it absolutely screams “I was
designed by the Creator!”
As creationist’s predicted, there is no junk DNA. Not only does this data show the
incredibly complex design of DNA (a design feature), but it completely debunks the current
favorite theorized mechanism of evolution which is called “genetic drift.”
It was thought that since most of DNA was “junk DNA” and since simple point mutations
in the encoding of proteins was very inadequate to achieving speciation another mechanism
must be at work. It was thus theorized that in the “junk DNA,” nucleotide codes would
change randomly and not be expressed in the organism. When a large positive or negative
set of code happen to be randomly put together by mutation, then it was expressed
accidentally in the genome and either provided positive or negative traits.
This theory was always ridiculous because the formation of these code strands would be
totally random and not guided by selection since they were “forming silently” in the “Junk
DNA.” The probability of ever getting one strand of the thousands of base pairs necessary
to encode for a new organ or limb or adaptation is pure mathematical impossibility. Asking
this “mechanism of fantasy” to be the engine driving most variation in DNA is beyond
impossible and harkens to wishing the tooth fairy would do it for you!
Now we know that there is no “junk DNA” and that the 80% theorized to be junk DNA is
expressed and this silent “genetic drift” formation is shown to be totally impossible and sets
current theory of how mutation/variation occurs on its ear! Again, it’s great to be a
creationist!
Obama Sees Himself as the Chance Progeny
of Reptiles, New Book Says
ANNAPOLIS, Md., Sept. 19, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Solving Light
Books today announced that its newly released book, "Outing the Moronocracy:
Ending the Rule of the Blind, the Stupid, and the Disgraceful in American
Society" by Robert Bowie Johnson, Jr., reveals that President Barack Obama
has admitted that he sees himself, not as a creation of God, but rather as the
chance offspring of reptiles.
According to Johnson, in an overlooked 2008 interview with Nature magazine
(September 25, 2008), Obama said, "I believe in evolution, and I support the strong consensus of the
scientific community that evolution is scientifically validated. I do not believe it is helpful to our students
to cloud discussions of science with non-scientific theories like Intelligent Design that are not subject to
experimental scrutiny," thus acknowledging that he does not believe that he, himself, is intelligently
designed.
According to Johnson, the so-called "strong consensus of the scientific community" is manipulated by the
atheist hierarchy of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS). In "Outing the Moronocracy," Johnson,
who holds a general science degree from West Point, includes an appendix listing 30 examples of
scientific incompetence at the NAS, all found in the very booklet used by the NAS to propagandize our
children with the notion that they are descended from worms and reptiles by chance.
Johnson said that anyone who cannot see the design inherent in nature is spiritually blind; and that any
"scientist" who does not recognize that DNA's encoded information is prima facie proof of Intelligent
Design is intellectually stupid. Johnson added that "scientists" who teach our children that reptiles are
among their ancestors are "morally disgraceful…"
Mr. Johnson pointed out that when Jesus called the corrupt Pharisees of His day "a progeny of reptiles"
(Matthew 23:33), He meant it figuratively. Johnson contrasted this figurative "progeny of reptiles" with
the members of today's ruling Moronocracy, including Obama, who believe that they are literally the
"progeny of reptiles."

A Brief, But True, History of Time
We watched the video by Dr. Mark Harwood titled: "A Brief, But
True, History of Time" produced by Creation Ministries
International (61 minutes long). In tracing the chronological
timeline of biblical history from Creation to the Cross, Dr. Harwood
reveals the exciting implications of taking Genesis as true history,
and shows how the scientific evidence is actually consistent with it.
The big picture of the gospel message presented is good news
indeed!
It proved to be a very interesting video which led to spirited
discussion by our membership afterwards of its adherence to a
strict Ussher timeline of 6000 years as opposed to other biblical
and scientific data presented by Dr. Harris on our board which argues for a 12,000 year time
frame

Dr. Hartnett’s book and the video we will see details a new
cosmology (universal physics) put together by Dr. Meoshi
Carmeli and Dr. John Harnett.

studied the big bang theory and the Genesis 1 creation model
