RECORD OF THE PROTOCOLARY MEETING OF MAY 22, 2015 TO GIVE FAREWELL TO
THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES
The Permanent Council held a protocolary meeting on May 22, 2015, to give farewell to the
Secretary General of the Organization of American States, His Excellency José Miguel Insulza. The
meeting was chaired by the Chair of the Permanent Council, Ambassador Neil Parsan, Permanent
Representative of Trinidad and Tobago.
Addressing the Permanent Council on that occasion were the Chair of the Permanent Council,
Ambassador Neil Parsan, Permanent Representative of Trinidad and Tobago; the Regional
Coordinators; Ambassador Albert Ramdin, Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of
American States; Mr. Edgardo Riveros Marín, Assistant Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Chile; Mr. José
Miguel Insulza, Secretary General of the Organization of American States; as well as the delegations
of Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile,
Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala,
Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts and
Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, United States,
Uruguay and Venezuela.
