Admission Requirements/remarks
Candidates must possess a good Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, Electrical or Electronic
Engineering, Applied Science, Sciences, Medical Sciences or
other equivalent qualifications. Preference will be given to those
with relevant working or postgraduate experience.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical,
Production, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Applied
Science or equivalent qualifications and relevant practical
experience.
3. Master of Science (Logistics)
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any
engineering discipline or Applied Science or equivalent
qualifications. Preference will be given to those with relevant
working experience.
4. Master of Science (Mechanical
Engineering)
Candidates must possess a good Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, Electrical or
Electronics Engineering, Applied Science, or other equivalent
qualifications. Preference will be given to those with relevant
working or postgraduate experience.
5. Master of Science (Precision
Engineering)
Candidates must possess a good Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical, Production, Electrical and Electronics Engineering,
Applied Science or equivalent qualifications and relevant
practical experience.

Candidates must possess a good Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, Electrical or Electronic
Engineering, Applied Science or other equivalent qualifications.
Preference will be given to those with post-graduate working
experience.
A good bachelor's degree in electrical/ electronic engineering or
an equivalent degree in other relevant disciplines as the Board
of Graduate Studies may approve.
Preference will be given to those who have relevant working
experience after obtaining the bachelor’s degree.
For those with a good bachelor’s degree in electrical/
electronic/computer engineering or equivalent degree in other
relevant disciplines as the Board of Graduate Studies may
approve.
The applicant must have at least second class (lower) honours
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent or related
discipline and must be a graduate of this University or such
graduate of another university as the Academic Board may
approve.
Applicants for the programme must have a good Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering or other related disciplines. They should
preferably have a minimum of 2 years of relevant working
experience after obtaining their first degree.

Humanities and Social Sciences
11. Master of Science (Managerial
Economics) – conducted in Mandarin
Applicants must have at least two years’ working experience as a
senior administrator or senior official. Candidates should also
have a strong Mathematics background.
12. Master of Public Administration
Programme – conducted in Mandarin
Applicants must have minimum 5 years of working experience,
with at least 3 of which as senior administrator or management
responsibility.
13. Master of Arts (Contemporary China)
A bachelor’s degree in good standing from an accredited
university or college is required of all applicants. Each applicant’s
previous academic performance, work experience, and
Statement of Purpose will be carefully reviewed by the University
and the School.
Minimum TOEFL requirement for graduates of universities with
non-English medium of instruction:
 600 (paper-based)
 250 (computer-based)

Admission Date
All programmes are for January 2009 admission, except for Master of Science (Managerial
Economics) and Master of Public Administration Programme which commence in Mar 2009.
Application Period
The extension period of online application is from 2nd to 15th October 2008. Please submit all
supporting documents by 24th October 2008.
For Master of Science (Managerial Economics) and Master of Public Administration Programme
the closing date is 15th December 2008.
