Q2181 CITECT FOR WINDOWS SERVICE PACKS

This Service Pack fixes the following problems:

* NCR 7082

Alarm summary entries are duplicated in the summary device when Citect is shutdown and restarted if an

Alarm save file is used and/or redundant Alarm servers are used. This happens because all unlogged entries are logged at shutdown. A new parameter controls this behaviour.

[Alarm]SummaryShutdownMode

Specifies whether alarm summary entries (both complete and incomplete) that have not been logged are logged at shutdown. This parameter should only be changed from the default if you are NOT using redundant alarm servers and/or alarm save files.

Allowable Values:

0 - Do not flush summary entries to devices.

1 - Flush summary entries to devices.

Default Value: 0

* NCR 10490

When Multi-state objects have several conditions filled out, with empty conditions in-between, Graphics

Builder will only show conditions up to the first empty condition.

* NCR 10657

When a trend client is viewing an event trend page and its network connection is interrupted it may crash.

* NCR 10761

When Multi-state objects have empty states, Citect will not display a blank symbol. e.g. If a multi-state symbol has two conditions, and only two symbols for state 0 and A, state B and AB both display symbols.

* NCR 10830

When using the WinPrint() Cicode function and explicitly specifying a palette file, the printed image is incorrect.

* NCR 10851

Default Character Set. Setting [Language]CharSet = 1 or using SetLanguage("xxx",1) did not select default character set and setting it to a character set that is not loaded causes Citect to crash.

* NCR 10880

Calling the StrToDate() Cicode function with a blank string or a string with a zero month (invalid) then

Citect will hang if the computer is set to a time-zone that does not have daylight saving.

* NCR 10937

Standby alarm properties would fail if the Alarm I/O Device was declared after the primary.

* NCR 10959

Cicode functions that display a string containing a percent (%) sign may not display correctly, and may cause a crash. Cicode functions that use TraceMsg() and Prompt() exhibit this problem.

* NCR 11018

Crash occurs after hitting OK on Page Properties in the Graphics Builder under Windows 95.

* NCR 11019

Doing a network shutdown with the Shutdown() function and mode 6 will not work.

* NCR 11047

In Project Editor, the “Find User Function” dialog will return any function name with more than 32 characters if the search string is not found.

* NCR 11073

Objects inside a genie appear smaller at runtime when the genie is rotated in Graphics Builder.

* NCR 11099

CitectInfo(). CitectInfo("DISK",sDrive,sType) returns negative number if over 2 gigabytes. Added two more disk information parameters, 2 returns free disk space in kilobytes, 3 returns total disk space in kilobytes

* NCR 11141

On a trend page, if you press the “scroll to real time” button a small gap appears at the start of the trend.

If you press this button again, the gap disappears but another appears at the start again. Logged data is still correct and only the display is affected.

* NCR 11154

A limit of approximately 32000 alarms per type (e.g. Digital, Analog) exists in Citect. This limit has been increased internally so that a maximum of approximately 64000 alarms per type can be used.

* NCR 11163

At runtime, changing pages from an RTF report display page may cause Citect to crash..

* NCR 11165

Project Editor sometimes crashes while deleting projects if the project contains long filenames.

* NCR 11170

The TagRead() Cicode function may cause Citect to crash when an overflow occurs.

* NCR 11173

Redundant Reports Server may take a few minutes, or fail, to run reports when the primary loses its network connection. Added new parameters [REPORT]HeartBeat=1 (default) and

[REPORT]HeartBeatTime=30000 (default) range is 500 msec to 60000 msec.

* NCR 11178

On an event trend page, if you stretch an event trend by changing the event base to be less than default, the initial display is correct. However, if in real-time mode, the new events are displayed in the default event base and not the new event base.

* NCR 11200

Graphics Builder error while saving page with native string substitution. Project directory paths in excess of 32 characters prompt the error 'Database error while saving native strings' when saving graphics pages containing internationalisation strings.

* NCR 11209

Opening more than the allowed maximum (8) kernel windows may cause Citect to crash.

* NCR 11319

When using standby I/O Devices there may be extraneous traffic between networked clients and I/O

Servers.

* NCR 11320

Argyle Digital Alarms do not update their timestamp between changes of state.

* NCR 11330

F1-F11 keyboard keys with the modifiers CTRL+ALT or CTRL+ALT+SHIFT do not work.

* NCR 11335

MsgRPC() crashes. MsgRPC() may crash Citect when called on the server.

* NCR 11340

Citect Time Stamped Alarms do not always match what the PLC reported.

* NCR 11376

The DspInfoField() Cicode function does not function correctly when using the [CTEDIT]Copy parameter.

* NCR 11387

Missing pages may cause a crash. Missing CTG and/or CTF files may cause Citect to crash at runtime.

* NCR 11388

The DDEWrite Cicode function may cause Citect to crash when long strings are used in the arguments.

* NCR 11439

When using AlarmSumGet() while traversing the summary alarm list in reverse (AlarmSumLast() ->

AlarmSumPrev()) summary entries may not be subsequently updated.

* NCR 11453

Software Protection Failure. Fatal system errors requiring operator input not disabled when setting

[debug]syserrdsp=0.

* NCR 11455

Crash occurs when adding page keyboard commands in Page Properties in the Graphics Builder under

Windows 95.

* NCR 11458

TrnSetPen() function may require that the trend page be refreshed before data for the pen will be shown.

* NCR 11500

<String resource not found>. System error messages in syslog.dat print as <String resource not found> instead of correct message.

* NCR 11514

Blocking of consecutive non digital types fails.
