DJHS CHEER OVERNIGHT TRIP PACKET “If you'll not settle for anything less than your best, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish in your lives.” -Vince Lombardi ANY VIOLATION OF THE DISTRICT, SCHOOL, TEAM, OR TRIP RULES AND EXPECTATITONS WILL RESULT IN YOUR PARENTS BEING CHARGED FOR AN IMMEDIATE RIDE HOME. Itinerary: see addendum Room rules: There will be at least one female adult in each villa There will be a curfew each night that will be strictly enforced. Remember our number one goal is to get work done all three days!! Room Information and Rates: We will be staying at the Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio. The coaches may change room assignments at anytime for any reason. Room Suggestions: Bring breakfast foods like pop tarts, small cereal bowls, powerbars, etc for breakfast. This will hold down the cost of breakfast. Bring snacks for the down time on the trip down, and in your room—it is easier and cheaper. You will not always be able to run down to get food due to the schedule for the weekend. Each room will be providing a part of a meal for Friday and Saturday nights. We have 5 kitchens Try to condense what you bring—it will be easier—one hairdryer not 4. What to pack: We will give you an itemized list of what to bring. Supervision: The girls will be supervised on Friday, Saturday and Sunday by the coaching staff during the day hours when in the meeting room working on choreography. There will be one staff member in each villa. There will be times when the girls and not at all connected to their phones and times where they are not being watched by staff (ie-while swimming in the water park) Please remember that the schedule will not be changed by any one except for Carla. Ultimately, this is her responsibility and liability. Any deviation from the schedule, may result in a cheerleader being sent home immediately. When in the pool, hotel, etc., the cheerleaders will need to be in contact with an adult throughout the day. It is expected that you will act and behave in a manner that is representative of Dublin Jerome HS. Coaches who are chaperoning cheerleaders without parents present are responsible for face to face contact repeatedly during the day. Medication: All prescription medications, other than inhalers, will need to be in their original containers and given to Carla Crawford Please notify Carla of any medication that may be needed by a cheerleader during coach supervision times and have it noted on the overnight trip form. Parks/hotel: The girls will be able to go to the pools beginning on Friday night depending on schedule, however, they must check in with a parent/chaperone or coach throughout the day. This contact must be face to face contact to ensure their safety. In the resort, the girls will be expected to follow all rules and to present themselves as upstanding young ladies, any behavior to the contrary may result in that student being sent home. Remember there are times where the girls WILL NOT BE IN DIRECT SUPERVISION by the coaches. Money on the Trip: The only money that will be needed will be for food, and then whatever spending money you choose. What to Wear: When we travel, the girls need to wear matching outfits to be determined prior to the trip This is easier for coaches to see when they are trying to count, and presents the image of a unified team. Transportation: We are contracting two Dublin City Schools’ busses for our travel.
