TRIO TOKYO-BRUXELLES FLÛTE : NOZOMI KANDA - VIOLONCELLE : NICOLAS DELETAILLE - PIANO : KEIKO NAGAHAMA The Tokyo-Bruxelles Trio consists of the flutist Nozomi Kanda, the cellist Nicolas Deletaille and the pianist Keiko Nagahama. Educated in prestigious schools in Japan, Europe and United States, they now perform as chamber musicians in numerous countries. The TB trio is dedicated to spead the original repertoire for flute, cello and piano and to develop and support new music written for these instruments. She studied under Akane Takahashi, Yasukazu Uemura, Yukihiko Nishizawa and Marc Grauwels in Belgium. While in Paris, Nozomi studied under Vincent Lucas and later with Vincent Cortvrint. Since graduating from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Mons in Belgium, Nozomi has performed together with a broad range of artists, including her ex-professeur Marc Grauwels, Pascal Moraguès, Francis Orval, Sylvain Creemers and many others. Nozomi’s chamber music concerts and recitals have seen her perform in many countries, including Belgium, Spain, France, Luxembourg, Norway, Tunisia and her home country, Japan. Nozomi Kanda is also member of “Estampes” and of the flute quartet“4Tempi” . During her studies, Nozomi developed an interest in the shinobue, a traditional Japanese flute, and studied with Kohei Nishikawa, who has a high reputation in this field. Together they performed several concerts of traditional Japanese music. Nozomi also regularly gives Japanese music concerts with ensembles that include japanese instruments such as koto, shamisen and Shakuhachi and also with classical occidental instruments. Nozomi Kanda taught at "the International Music Academy" in Dinant, also at the International Music Academy in Fort-Mahon (Picardy-France) and the wind-orchestra academy in the Hautes-Pyrénées (France) and was interim professor of flute at the Academy of Braine l'Alleud and the Academy of Dinant and at the Conservatory of Charleroi. She also taught at the Jissen Gakuen Joshi High School in Japan and gave a flute seminar. She regularly gives Japanese flute seminar in Paris. Nozomi regularly writes articles for a Yokohama newspaper as well as the online magazine BEL2. Nicolas Deletaille - cello : After receiving his musical education in Belgium and the U.S., Nicolas Deletaille began his professional career as a performing artist. Since this time, he has recorded Bach’s six cello suites, Beethoven’s five cello sonatas, Liszt late works for cello and piano, and major works from the solo repertory by Kodály, Cassadó, Ysaÿe, and Ligeti. He has recorded numerous chamber works with the Mendelssohn Ensemble, the Rosamonde String Quartet, and Paul Badura-Skoda. He has earned distinction as an arpeggione player by recording Schubert’s arpeggione sonata for the Fuga Libera record label. He has given approximately 70 world premieres, many of which were of works composed for him. Among these are several new compositions for arpeggione, representing his effort to enhance the arpeggione repertoire. For the last four years Nicolas Deletaille has been cello instructor at the Eastern Mediterranean University, Famagusta. He is now living in Belgium, where he is a PhD candidate at docARTES (Ghent/KULeuven). Keiko Nagahama - piano : Born in Tokyo, Japan. Keiko Nagahama started her musical studies at the age of 3. She graduated from Toho-Gakuen High School of Music(piano) and Toho-Gakuen College of Music(piano). She also studied chamber music, piano accompagniment, conducting and pedagogy. After awarded the 1st prize at the CNR Rueil-Malmaison in the Class of Chantal Riou, she completed her studies at the cycle supérieur in the class of Olivier Gardon at the Concervatoire Supérieur de Paris(CRR) and also studied chamber music under F.Pennetier, M.F.Giret and piano accompaniment under Christine Rouault-Louchart. She is member of “Tokyo-Bruxelles Trio”(with Nozomi Kanda - flute and Nicolas Deletaille - Cello). Her recitals and chamber music concerts have seen her perform in many countries, including France, Belgium, Austria, USA and her home country, Japan.
