FRENCH EMBASSY IN THAILAND TRADE COMMISSION – UBIFRANCE Energy Sufficient unveils turnkey solutions for green transport at IGEM 2011 exhibition Kuala Lumpur – 7th to 10th September 2011 Press release ref. no. CP-1531 A specialist in sustainable transport and energy production, the Levidac Group manufactures and develops new technologies through its Energy Sufficient subsidiary. The company will exhibit its hybrid and electric vehicle solutions at IGEM (International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia) from 710 September 2011 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Energy and transport professionals, automakers and public transport agencies will have an opportunity to discover these vehicles at its stand (Booth A042, Hall 1) in the French pavilion, with a view to future partnerships. Energy Sufficient produces electric vehicles that have been adapted to the tropical market and are available in catalogues. Its offering includes light-weight electric cars, utility vehicles, lorries, vans, buses and tramways. A revolutionary turbine system and an advanced hybrid battery system for electric vehicles are two of the innovative technologies developed by the company. What’s more, Energy Sufficient offers an eco-friendly package: the vehicle comes complete with battery plus installation of the charger and its energy production solution. Customers thus become fully energy independent in their means of transport and can independently charge their batteries as well. Energy Sufficient has also developed innovative, self-generating power systems for electric vehicle charging stations. Its energy-production solutions include photovoltaics, vertical axis wind turbines (ready to plug in with power of 300-4 kW, high energy efficiency, a noiseless solution and expected anti-cyclonic protection), fuel cells and biogas, with electricity production from green waste. “As the leading green automaker in the Indian Ocean, we’re a new company with a young and dynamic spirit developing innovative, high-tech businesses”, says Illya Cadivel, CEO of Energy Sufficient. The company offers a wide range of products and services meeting customers’ diverse needs, as evidenced by its catalogue. Energy Sufficient, for example, produces light-weight electric and hybrid vehicles designed to carry two to five passengers. It can run purely on an electric battery for 100-250 km, and batteries in certain models can be recharged in 30 minutes. The electric utility vehicle range offers vans and cab-chassis suitable for motor vehicles, both of which can operate solely on their battery for at least 100 km. The same holds true for all-electric industrial vehicles that start out with a 7-tonne, 10-tonne or 12-tonne cab-chassis. The Public Passenger Transport offering comprises 17- to 40-seat vans and minibuses. The offering is rounded out by five models of buses and coaches with some 50 to 70 seats that can run on their electric battery for 150-500 km. It has been particularly successful in China, where Levidac has partnered with ZONDA to develop an entire range of innovative, all-electric buses for both the domestic and export markets. The range of vehicles developed by Levidac will culminate in 2013 with the Aliséo tramway, a hydroelectric hybrid that can operate without a driver on any type of urban terrain, however uneven. For use as either a passenger or commercial vehicle, the tram will cost six times less to operate than an equivalent standard vehicle.
