Summary- Titanium Dioxide is used in many industries for the coloring of products. It
is naturally found in a bright white and therefore is very effective in coloring foods,
sunscreens, lipsticks, and pill capsules. The only known side effect right now lung
fibrosis and this is only if the Titanium Dioxide is inhaled in its powder form.
Compound 2- Polyvinyl Alcohol (inactive ingredient)

Summary-Polyvinyl Alcohol is used in this product for the coating of the capsule. This
makes it easier to swallow the capsule (in other words it is a lubricant.) The side effects
of this ingredient are not really existent for the use of a capsule coating.
Compound 3- Magnesium Stearate

Summary-Magnesium Stearate is used to keep the pill capsules from sticking to
machinery during production. Now while that may be good for production is sometimes
leaves a thick film on the pill making it hard for the capsule to dissolve in the proper
place in intestines.
Compound 4-Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D)
Molecular Formula-C27H44O
Organic or Inorganic-Organic, it is Carbon based
Summary- Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D) is used to help the body absorb Calcium. Too
much of Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D) can cause upset stomach, mood changes,
constipation, fatigue, and loss of appetite.
Compound 5- Maltodextrin
Molecular Formula- C18H32O16
Organic or Inorganic- Organic, it is Carbon based.
Summary- In this products Matodextrin is used to help the body distribute and absorb
nutrients evenly. Headaches, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, upset stomach, fatigue and
weakness are all side effects of maltodextrin.

Summary- Fluoxetine hydrochloride is used to regulate the serotonin levels in the
brain. There is a lot of good to this but it has a lot of side effects including but not limited
to; anxiety, confusion, convulsions, dry mouth, mood or behavior changes, uncontrolled
muscle movements, uncontrolled excitement, trouble breathing, inability to sit still, hives,
rash, and many more that are somewhat more on the rare side.
Compound 2- Starch (inactive ingredient)
Molecular Formula- C6H10O5
Organic or Inorganic- Organic, it is Carbon based.
Summary- Starch is used to help the body break down the parts of the pill. There are
currently no known side effects to the starch in Prozac.
Compound 3- Gelatin
Molecular Formula- N/A
Organic or Inorganic- Organic, it is carbon based.
Summary- Gelatin is used in medication to make the pill hard or soft. It is known
currently to have no side effects and is deemed very safe by the FDA
Compound 4- Silicon Dioxide
Molecular Formula-SiO2
Organic or Inorganic- Inorganic, it is not Carbon based.
Summary- In medication Silicon Dioxide is used to keep the powder inside from
caking and also to make it easier for the body to absorb. When taken orally there has not
yet been found any side effects. But if inhaled as a powder Silicon Dioxide can cause
cancer.
Compound 5- Iron Oxide

Summary- Iron oxide is where the color in the pills come from. It is the very white
color in the capsules. The only known side effect is iron poisoning.
