Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust Fellows in Neonatology required as soon as possible for 6 - 12 months (ST4 or above) Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals neonatal service provides a level three intensive care service for Sussex and the Surrey-Sussex Neonatal Network. There are 6000 deliveries across the two sites of the Trust at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton and the Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath. There are 29 cots; 8 intensive care, 3 high dependency and 18 special care. Previous experience in neonatal intensive care is essential for these posts. The unit offers the full range of medical intensive care including high frequency oscillation and nitric oxide and a neonatal surgery service in conjunction with the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital. The applicants will contribute to the regional neonatal transport service with appropriate training and support. The on-call commitment will be in neonatal intensive care on a full-shift basis. You will participate in the established education programme and be encouraged to develop an area of special interest and audit/research. These posts are open primarily to applicants who do not require a certificate of sponsorship to take up employment in the UK.
