Deadline: November 16, 2007
Complete the attached application form and check the box(es) on this page for the scholarships for
which you are applying. You must be enrolled in the Fall 2008 semester to be considered for the
awards. Check the box that indicates your expected class level at the beginning of Fall 2008:
□ Junior = 56—84 credit hours completed
□ Senior = > 85 credit hours completed
□ 150 Hour (admitted to the graduate MSA program) or MSA student
Be sure you meet the criteria listed for each scholarship you check. Major and class level relate to
Fall 2008. GPA at the end of Fall 2007 will be used. Financial need, if indicated, must be on file
with EMU’s Financial Aid office for Fall 2007 and expected to continue for Fall 2008.
□ Richard and Linda Pifer/Plante and Moran Scholarship (2 @ approx. $800):
1. Accounting or Accounting Information Systems major
2. At least junior standing
3. Minimum 3.5 GPA
□ Tammy Machovec Endowment Fund (1 @ approx. $500):
Interested in government and nonprofit accounting
□ Great Teachers in Accounting Scholarship (1 junior, 1 senior, and 2 graduate students
@ $1,000 each):
1. Intent or Major in Accounting or AIS
2. Sophomore, juniors, seniors, 5th year graduate students
3. Minimum 3.25 GPA
4. Active involvement in community service, student organizations, work experience
5. For 5th year students, undergraduate degree in accounting from EMU
□ Linda S. Shipley Memorial Scholarship (2 @ approx. $1,000)
1. Undergraduate Accounting major
2. Junior or senior standing
3. Minimum 3.0 GPA
4. Financial need
□ Jo and Dan Devine Scholarship Fund (1 @ $500):
1. Undergraduate Accounting major
2. Minimum 3.0 GPA
3. Financial need
□ Keybank (1 @ approx. $700):
1. Finance/Banking major preferred, or any COB major
2. Minimum 3.0 GPA
3. Junior, senior, or graduate student
NOTE: All recipients will be honored at the March 2008 COB Honors Banquet and are expected to
be present. All scholarships are deposited to your student account in the Fall 2008 semester
