Ms. Anderson is the Senior VP of Quality and Safety at Christiana Care Health System. She has an extensive background including critical care nursing, care management, claims review, and utilization review. Her current responsibilities include the development and implementation of an organization wide quality & safety program, as well as, programs to manage the delivery of care in a consistent, high quality and costeffective manner. These programs include, disease and case management, resource management, utilization review, clinical pathways and guidelines. Eric I. Schwartz MD, MBA Dr. Schwartz is a Board Certified internist and currently serves as the Associate Medical Director for The Medical Group of Christiana Care, a network of primary care and specialty physician practices located in Delaware and Southern New Jersey. In addition to serving as the Chair of the Performance Improvement Committee, Dr. Schwartz has been awarded grant monies for programs to improve Diabetes care and to implement the Patient Centered Medical Home in the primary care offices. He has led organizations through accreditation surveys and has designed and implemented Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives, practice management systems and Electronic Medical Records for ambulatory care. She is a professor at the University of Delaware with teaching expertise in community health nursing, health policy, evidenced based practice, nursing science, public health and women’s studies. Dr. Hall Long is a regionally & nationally recognized speaker and has authored numerous health policy, public health and community based nursing publications. Donald Lighter MD, MBA, FAAP, FACHE Dr Lighter currently serves as Director of The Institute for Healthcare Quality Research and Education and works with organizations to improve quality management using techniques such as Lean Six Sigma, the Baldrige Award management framework, and advanced information technologies. Additionally, he serves as the Corporate Medical Director for Healthcare Quality and Safety at Shriners Hospitals for Children.
