PASCAL
---
Hello, Sam! Hi, Zoe. Hi everybody!
AUDIENCE
--- Hi, Pascal!
PASCAL
--- It’s raining outside!
SAM
--- Take off your coat! You need to dry off!
ZOE
1
--- What are you going to do today?
PASCAL
--- I’m going to give a weather report.
SAM
--- Today we’re going to have a special weather report!
ZOE
--- What’s the weather like today in your country?
SCENE 9.5
PASCAL
--- We’re going to have a look at the weather in some English-speaking countries.
Today in Canada it’s cold and windy. You need warm clothes. It’s snowing in the
north and there is thunder and lightning in Toronto. In the USA it’s cloudy in the
north, but sunny in the south. And look over here... it’s foggy in San Francisco. In
the UK it’s raining. And tomorrow it looks like we are going to have more rain! But
I don’t mind because I’ve got an umbrella. “I’m singing in the rain, just singing in
the rain...”

Yes! With my parents. We’re going to go to South Africa on holiday.
ZOE
Really? What are you going to do there?
KID 2
First, we’re going to visit some relatives in Cape Town. My uncle and aunt and
some cousins live in Cape Town. We’re all going to go to Shakaland.
ZOE

KID 2
--- In Shakaland we’re going to learn about the Zulu people and their traditional
way of life. Then we’re going to visit a famous game reserve.

ROVING REPORTERS
SCENE 9.9(-11)
---------
ZOE
It’s time for our Roving Reporters! Hello, Jane!
JANE
Hi, Zoe!
SAM
So, where are you today?
JANE
We’re here on the streets of Bristol.
SAM
--- Looks like it’s stopped raining. What’s the weather like?
JANE
--- Right! It’s not raining at the moment. You know what they say: if you don’t
like the weather just wait fifteen minutes.
SAM
--- That’s funny! So, what are we going to see today?
JANE
--- We’re going to show you a report about different types of transport in Bristol.
SAM
--- Let’s take a look! Transport in Bristol.
JANE
--- If you want to visit Bristol, it’s easy to get here. You can come by road, rail, or
air. There are many different ways to travel around the area! Lots of people travel
by car, of course. But there are regular bus services, too. Or, if you like to cycle
there are many bike lanes. And if you want to see Bristol on foot, you can always
walk around the area.
5
SAM
--- Of course.
JANE
--- You can even take the ferry around Bristol's Historic Harbour!
SAM
--- Thanks, Jane and Bill. That was an interesting report on transport in Bristol. I
especially want to take a ferry ride!
JANE
--- Bristol is a great place! And it’s full of interesting people.
ZOE
--- It’s them again!
---------
SAM
And Peter, the student. When are you going to come and visit Bristol?
ZOE
See you soon on ETV!
SAM / ZOE
