Heavier gloves should be used when extended handling of contaminated or preserved materials or immersion is likely. A chemical-resistant apron should be used when transferring or using large quantities and splash is likely. Wear closed toe shoes. Engineering/Ventilation Controls Work with thimerosal in a fume hood or with local exhaust ventilation to avoid inhalation. Use only in an area equipped with a shower and eyewash. Special Handling Procedures and Storage Requirements Read MSDS and this SOP prior to use. Store in tightly closed container. Separate from oxidizing agents. Wash lab bench, glassware and hands thoroughly after use. Use in smallest quantities and concentrations. Store in Room _________.
