Because Photonics is produced in DOC, strict adherence to format is required. The use of this template is useful for estimating the length of the papers. The electronic file of your paper will be formatted further at AIAI. Use this document as a template if you are using Microsoft Word 6.0 or later. Define all symbols used in the abstract and the text. Do not cite references in the abstract. Abstracts should be limited to 150 words. AIAI Journals and Magazine accept brief communications and full length papers. Typeset: Arial Font 10. 17 18 Index Terms: About four key words or phrases in alphabetical order, separated by commas. A list of keywords appears in the Authors Tools website (http://www.acm.org/about/class/ccs98-html). Font: Arial 8 19 20 1. Page Setup – Font Arial 12 bold 21 22 The page is set up to have 1.2” margins on right, left, top and bottom. The title font is Arial 18 Bold. Author names are in Arial 10 Bold. Affiliation is in Arial 9 italic. 23 24 Each section is separated by a heading. Full manuscripts contain sections such as Introduction, Experimental Details. Brief Communications may be formatted without sections. 25 26 27 28 The body text of the manuscript is in Arial 10. After the body of the manuscript, the references are included. References follow the AIAI format described in the page number 3. [1] To speed up processing of the submitted manuscripts, it is recommended that authors before submission should thoroughly check references and manuscripts. 29 2. Graph and equations in the paper 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 Each figure appropriately labeled is placed at the end of the manuscript in separate pages. Figure captions in the default font of the manuscript, Arial 10, are included after the References in the body of the paper. Format and save your graphic images, using a suitable graphics processing program that will allow you to create the images as Portable Document Format (PDF), size them, and adjust the resolution settings. In the electronic version of the paper, figures will be centered in the page with no text around. 37 38 Equations are generated with Math-type or the Word Equation Editor or other similar mathematical editor. The new equation editor in Word 2007 is not suitable for use. 1 2 3 4 5 3. Multimedia and Supplemental Data Files AIAI Journals and Magazine allow incorporation of multimedia and supplemental files in the form of video files, Matlab ® scripts. In addition, authors must be aware that upon First Decision, they will be asked to submit one art work, or graph. 1 2 3 References 4 [2] W.-K. Chen, Linear Networks and Systems (Book style).
