TERMS GOVERNING THE ISSUE OF WORK PERMITS

I the undersigned Prof./Dr./Mr./Mrs. ………………….........................., agree to follow the
terms and conditions governing the issue of work permit that I am requesting by the Institute
of Geology and Mineral Exploration (IGME) for the period ............ - ............, in order to carry
out geological fieldwork in Greece, in the areas of ……………………………..............

According to the terms and conditions I have to:
a) cooperate with IGME at all times
b) declare the commencement of the fieldwork to the nearest Police Station in the study
area, as well as to the local Office of the Archaeological Service (Ephoria or Museum)
c) send to the Division of General Geology & Geological Mapping of IGME several copies
of the scientific paper(s), which shall be published after the completion of the research
work
d) show all samples collected during fieldwork to the responsible IGME’s geologists in
order to get the relevant certificate for their transportation abroad
e) avoid collecting rock or soil samples, or moving objects from Archaeological sites or in
the nearby areas, as well as from subsurface spelaeological sites and submarine areas of
scientific interest; in case where an object of archaeological interest is identified, inform
immediately the Archaeological Service
f) before proceeding with any coring, or marine geological research, or aerial geophysical
survey, request an agreement from the appropriate authorities.
The work permit is valid only for the stipulated area and period.
In case the above terms and conditions are not followed, partly or as a whole, IGME reserves
the right to revoke the work permit.
