PRESENTS
26-29 July
In association with
&
Create better harmony between horse and rider.
The course comprises of training from experienced British dressage trainer and rider Tara Osborn BHSAI.
Tara will work to improve rider position, communication between horse and rider, develop suppleness and
softness through structured exercises to increase and enhance performance. Training will be filmed to
enable the rider to see weaknesses and discuss ways to improve. The course will also include a test riding
session giving riders the opportunity to work on a specific test with hints and tips on how to improve and
get the best out of the horse during the test. Pole work for flat work is also included during the workshop,
this session is aimed at adding variety and fun to the training plus help to increase confidence and improved
partnership skills alongside developing strength and a better connection through the horses back.
To enable our horses to perform to the best of their ability the rider must sit with and independent seat and
be supple through the back without tension through the joints in the body. Complimenting Tara’s training
Chelsea Harding of Harding Physiotherapy will present a session to improve core strength, straightness and
any individual musculoskeletal problems. Helping to increase body awareness and improve posture both
on and off the horse.
In order to get the best from our horses they need to be able to move freely and use their joints easily.
Natalie Westgarth from Back In Action will hold sessions on The McTimoney approach to spinal
manipulation. This is a gentle non-invasive physical therapy that realigns and balances the animals’
musculoskeletal system, restoring health, soundness and performance. In addition to the McTimoney
techniques Natalie also uses Equine sports massage, to work on the soft tissues, to relieve muscle tension.
Natalie will explain all the benefits of this, plus how to recognize, prevent problems. She will also show
you exercises to prevent and improve problems.
