MOLALLA YOUTH FOOTBALL
PARENT CONTRACT-2015
Molalla Youth Football is committed to providing the best possible climate for maximum
development and achievement of goals for all athletes participating in the program. In
order to maintain an atmosphere where these goals can be accomplished, we have
developed this Parent Contract. Your receipt of this contract indicates you agree to the
rules and regulations as described in the Tualatin Youth Football League Bylaws as well
as the rules and policies of Molalla Youth Football.
We respectfully suggest the communication conduit goes towards people that can affect
change. Parents and coaches should refrain from gossiping, or venting individual
concerns to those not in a position to affect change. We believe that direct
communication between the community and MYF leadership will develop a mutually
beneficial relationship and a positive environment for our kids.
All communication should be done in a professional and adult-like manner. Under no
circumstances should it turn into a personal attack on any one person, it should stick to
the root of the problem. You must be prepared to provide your name for you complaint to
be addressed. Step by step for voicing a complaint is as follows:
1. Head Coach. If result is not satisfactory then to;
2. Molalla Youth Football Board Member. If result is not satisfactory, then to;
3. Molalla Youth Football President. If result is not satisfactory, get over it or remove
yow child from the program.
You further agree to abide by the following list of expectations;
1. To foster among our kids, the ideals of teamwork, good sportsmanship, citizenship and
character as well as the beneficial opportunities of becoming positive examples for
others.
2. Take care when using equipment and supplies provided to you by the league and return
such items in good repair and at the designated turn in time.
3. Be respectful of all players, parents, officials, coaches and members of the community.
You are a representative of Molalla Youth Football, the Community of Molalla, and the
overall Community of Youth Sports in Oregon.
4. Remain in the stands or off the field during games and practices unless permission to
enter the field of play has been given by the Head Coach or the President of the site you
are visiting.
5. Understand that Football, by its very nature, is a violent and potentially dangerous
sport. This might necessitate the need for some aggressive, intense coaching in order to
lessen the chance of injury to your child, or the child of another parent. This does not
condone verbal abuse and/or personal attacks on your child.
6. Playing time is determined by the coaching staff, and is regulated by the League
Bylaws. The ultimate decision is made by the Head Coach, who understands the Bylaws,
but is also charged with ensuring the safety of all players. It is MYF's belief that all kids
should be playing more than the 10 play minimum stated by the league.
7. Abide by the following rules of use for playing fields associated with public schools
within the state of Oregon;
o No use Alcoholic or Tobacco anywhere on school grounds. o No Dogs.
o Water only on artificial turf.
8. All Molalla Youth Football Players (MYF) are expected to refrain from the use of all
tobacco products, drugs, and alcohol, both at school and during non-school times. The
commitment to tobacco free, drug-free and alcohol-free behavior is especially important
for those players who represent MYF. The safety and welfare of our players are
jeopardized if the commitment is broken. A player that shows signs of being under the
influence of drugs or alcohol will be dismissed from practice and their parents will be
notified. Further disciplinary action may be imposed by the Molalla Youth Football
Board of directors.
Above all, I will remember that this is a youth league ran by volunteers with the
intentions of providing community youth with a positive, safe, educational experience
with the game of football. I understand that failure to follow the rules and guidelines set
herein may result in disciplinary action that may include removal from games and
practices.
By signing this form I acknowledge that I have read understan4 and will abide by this
contract as well as the rules and policies of Molalla Youth Football. Your child will not
be allowed to participate in any MYF activities until this is signed by both parents and/or
guardians and returned to MYF.
