You will be working with a group to create a brochure for people who are interested in traveling to Ancient China (if there were time machines)! Your brochure must be informing the reader about the various aspects of Ancient China! Make it interesting, colorful, and most importantly, informative! You may choose your own groups. There will be three people per group (some groups may have four people). Each person in your group will be graded at the end of the project and that will be a part of your grade. The following information should be included on the brochure to make sure that you have well informed travelers: (Each person should have 2 categories if you have 3 people in your group) Geography- Inform the reader about the geography in the area and what they might need to pack/know what to expect about the climate and region of China Family Ties- Describe to the reader what they can expect about the importance of family in China and who the Chinese lived with Dynasties- Give the reader an overview of the different dynasties of China so that they can decide which Dynasty they would like to travel to! Silk Road- Inform the reader of what the Silk Road was, what they traded, and what spread along the trade route Confucius- Describe to the reader who Confucius was, what his beliefs were, and how he influenced Ancient China Achievements- Give the reader an overview of some of the important achievements/inventions of Ancient China You will be using Microsoft Publisher for your creation. Please make sure you have the following features in your brochure: Color! Pictures and text for each of the six sections A title page with all of your group members names on it Accurate information! It must be on an 8 ½ by 11 sheet of paper (It will be double sided) All of your information must be summarized or paraphrased, NOT copied from the text! Your text has a distinct beginning, middle, and end. (Not all jumbled up information) Use the web sites and information found on Miss Martinez’s web page under ‘China Brochure’ as well as the textbook.
