Traditional Program
Course Offerings:
Physical Education 11 provides students with the opportunity to experience a variety
of recreational and leisure activities. The course will focus on exposing students to
activities, which will promote active lifestyles.
Students focus their learning in areas of personal and career interests while participating
in activities that promote social interaction, skill development, school and community
responsibilities and exposure to community sport facilities.
Community Course Fees for PE 11 experiences = $30.00 for Facility Rentals
Learning Outcomes:
Active Living is described as a way of life that values personal health and incorporates
physical activity into daily routines and leisure pursuits.
Movement is described as the skills, concepts and body mechanics required to
participate in a variety of activities.
Personal and Social Responsibility is described as the student’s abilities to develop
respect for themselves, others and community as they learn and practice skills,
communicate, cooperate and participate.

SuperFit 10-12
Course Offerings:
Superfit offers the motivated student an opportunity to focus on a
personalized training program emphasizing all aspects of total fitness. This
course is for athletes competing in either individual or team sports in the school
system or community programs.
Individual training programs will be created, monitored and evaluated
throughout the course with specific sport focus.
Consultation and feedback from local physiotherapists will aid student’s
recovery from athletic injuries as well as improve weaknesses in an attempt to
improve performance.

Female Fitness & Nutrition
Course Offerings:
The Fitness and Nutrition course is offered to female students who
are interested in exploring a wide variety of fun fitness activities. Students will
work on personal programs and group experiences in the pursuit of developing
a lifelong appreciation for exercise and healthy eating habits.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in the latest fitness sports
as well as be exposed to a variety of community programs and facilities. The
course will combine active fitness classes catering to all fitness levels with
nutrition seminars to meet the needs of the students.
Personalized fitness programs will be modified to meet the needs of
the individual students as they progress through the course.

Course Offerings:
The Student Leadership 11 Course will offer motivated students an
opportunity to develop a high level of individual and group leadership skills.
Students will experience challenging leadership projects that have impact on
their school and community.
The course will involve volunteering at school and community events.
Students will have an opportunity to help create, plan and organize school spirit
activities and graduation special events.

Course Offerings:
Strength and Conditioning offers the motivated student an
opportunity to focus on continuing a personalized training program.
The course will focus on developing all aspects of total fitness with an
emphasis on weight training. This course is for competing athletes in school
or community programs as well as highly motivated individuals.
Individual training programs will be personalized, monitored, adapted and
evaluated throughout the course with specific sport focus for each student.

The Fitness and Nutrition course is offered to female students who
want to become self-motivated and are interested in exploring a wide variety of
fitness activities. The course will cater to female students of varying degrees of
athletic experience, personal fitness levels, and lifestyle needs.
Students will work on personal programs and group experiences in the
pursuit of developing a lifelong appreciation for exercise and health in a less
competitive environment.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in the latest fitness
activities, as well as be exposed to a variety of community programs and
facilities.
Personalized fitness programs will be modified to meet the needs of
the individual students as they progress through the course.
