EMERALD CATTLE SALE 08-05-14
Another large yarding of 4600 head at Emerald Prime & Store Sale yesterday with
cattle drawn from Alpha, Dingo Clermont and surrounding local areas. The market was
mixed on the back of large numbers of store condition cattle coming onto the market that
were out of spec due to them breaking their teeth, although there was plenty of
oppurtunities to put quality cattle away too fatten. The better end of local weaners held up
well with solid competition on these lines. Meatworks cattle held up reasonably well
considering that there is still long waiting list too consign cattle to the processors.
