YANGON ARRIVAL
Arrive at the Yangon International Airport. Afternoon, excursion to Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha and
Shwe Dagon Pagoda, one of the wonders of the world and the most venerated Buddhist Monument in
Myanmar, where one can see the lifestyle of Myanmar People.
DAY 02
YANGON / MANDALAY (BY FLIGHT)
Drive to the airport for the flight to Mandalay, the last capital of Myanmar Monarchs. Excursion to
Ancient Capital Amarapura, 11 Kilometers south of Mandalay visiting Mahagandayon monastery; 1.2
kilometer long U Bein Wooden Bridge and silk-weaving factory. Afternoon visit Maha Muni Buddha
Image and continue to Shwe Kyaung, a monastery once King Mindon’s royal palace apartment for
meditation and end up the day while enjoying the sunset from the Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for the
panoramic view of Mandalay.
DAY 03
MANDALAY / SAGAING / RV PANDAW1947
Visit the old Capital of Sagaing, a retreat for Buddhist devotees with numerous pagodas and
monasteries Transfer to the Sagaing Jetty to board RV Pandaw1947. The cast off time is at 11.15 hrs.
Lunch will be served at 13.00. In the late afternoon we visit a typical river village. Cruise all day and
moor overnight near a typical river village or a sandbank.
DAY 04
RV PANDAW1947 – BAGAN
Early in the morning we proceed downriver to Bagan. After breakfast (if time permits) we visit
another typical river village. Enjoy the sunrise near Bagan. Passengers will disembark near
Wetkyi-Inn Village 4 km. North of Old Bagan at around 10.15 hrs. Check in Hotel. Lunch.
Afternoon visit Myinkaba Gubyaukkyi Temple, a typical Mon style temple; Manuha Temple, a captured
king's impression of life in prison; Nanpaya Temple; an earliest masterpiece with its fine stone carvings;
photo stop at Seinnyet Nyima Pagodas, a temple and a stupa with exquisite design and Mingala zedi
pagoda, on of the last ones built in pagan; sunset from a suitable temple or pagoda.
DAY 05
BAGAN
Morning sightseeing begins with visit to the Nyaung Oo Market; Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of
later Myanmar satupas; Wetkyi-in Gubyakkyi Temple, with fine mural paintings of jataka scenes;
Htilominlo Temple, noted for its plaster carvings and visit lacquerware factory. Afternoon excursion to
Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross; and Thatbyinnyu, the highest
of Bagan Temples ; and Bypaya, a Pyu style pagoda on the brink of the majestic Ayeyarwaddy River.
Overnight.

BAGAN/ YANGON (BY FLIGHT)
Breakfast at Hotel. Morning flight back to Yangon. Afternoon visit Sule Paya, Yangon City centre and

especially its people, a mixture of tribal races. Drive from Heho Airport to Inle Lake. Overnight in an
hotel by the lake.
DAY 03
INLE – PINDAYA (BY CAR)
Excursion of the lake well known for its scenic beauty and its unique leg rower .Tour highlights include
Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda; Ngaphae Chaung typical Shan Monastery of jumping cats; wonderful floating
gardens; native method of fishing ; traditional weaving villages; and village life in the lake. (Please note
that the floating market is once every 5 days, but may vary according to the Buddhist Sabathdays).
Drive to Pindaya, 100 km away from Inle Lake. On the way enjoy the scenic beauty along the country
side. Overnight in Pindaya.
DAY 04
PINDAYA – HEHO (BY CAR) - HEHO/ MANDALAY (BY FLIGHT)
In the morning excursion to Pindaya Cave, famous for its countless number of different styles Buddha
images from different periods. Drive to Heho Airport and flight to Mandalay, the last capital of Myanmar

MANDALAY – ESCURSION TO AMARAPURA
Excursion to the Ancient Capital Amarapura located 11 Kilometers South of Mandalay. Visit

cave with its numerous Buddha images in different styles from different periods.
DAY 03
PINDAYA – INLE (BY CAR)
In the morning drive to Inle Lake well known for its scenic beauty and its unique leg rower. Highlights
include Phaung Daw U Pagoda; Ngaphae Chaung typical Shan Monastery of jumping cats; wonderful
floating gardens; native method of fishing; traditional weaving villages; and village life in the lake (Please

Drive to the Heho airport for the flight to Keng Tung, the most scenic tour in Shan State.Afternoon visit
Phara Sao Long or Maha Myat Muni, a Shan Monastery and Sunset and panoramic scenery of
KengTung from "One Tree Hill".
DAY 05
KENGTUNG
Morning visit KengTung Market, which is the meeting place of various hill tribes in traditional costumes
from nearby villages carrying on age old tradition of their petty trades. Excursion to Lahu, Akha, and
Shan villages, 30 km northwest of KengTung and explore their way of life. Return to KengTung and visit
traditional Shan Lacquer ware factory.
DAY 06
KENGTUNG / MANDALAY (BY FLIGHT)
Morning visit of Ann village; Ah Khu village and Shan village located North East of Kengtung. Afternoon
flight to Mandalay. Overnight in Mandalay.
DAY 07
MANDALAY- MINGUN (BY CAR & BOAT)
Reach Mingun by boat, a village on the western bank of Ayeyarwaddy River. Visit highlights include
Settawya Pagoda with a marble foot print of Buddha; Pondawyapaya, nearby the river; Pahtodawgyi, an
enormous pile of bricks is all that remains of King Bodawpaya's grandiose scheme; Mingun Bell, the
world's largest ringing bell weighing 90 tons; Mingun Village; and Shinbume Pagoda, most attractive
pagoda built in 1816 by King Bodawpaya's grandson in memory of one of his wives. After lunch, visit
Maha Muni Buddha Image and handy crafts workshops such as making gold leaves, woodcarvings,
marble carvings etc. Then proceed to Shwe Kyaung, a monastery once King Mindon's royal palace
apartment for meditation, incomparable Atumashi monastery and ending up the day with Mandalay Hill,
vantage point for the view of Mandalay.

overnight at a sandbank mid-stream. After dinner guests can enjoy a Dance and Drama performance by
the Mandalay Arts School on the sundeck (if available).

Early in the morning cruise downstream during the 2 hours journey the passengers can enjoy the natural
beauty of the river and the life of its banks while relaxing on the sundeck or just sitting outside their own

PINDAYA – INLE (BY CAR)
In the morning drive to Inle Lake well known for its scenic beauty and its unique leg rower. Highlights
include Phaung Daw U Pagoda; Ngaphae Chaung typical Shan Monastery of jumping cats; wonderful
floating gardens; native method of fishing; traditional weaving villages; and village life in the lake (Please

Morning visit KengTung Market, which is the meeting place of various hill tribes in traditional costumes

Shan villages, 30 km northwest of KengTung and explore their way of life. Return to KengTung and visit
traditional Shan Lacquer ware factory.

In the morning you cross the Myitnge River with a ferry boat to reach Ancient Capital Ava. The

hundreds of teak pillars and the wood curving and Nan Myint tilting watching tower. In the afternoon visit

Early in the morning sail upstream to the famous 50 Gallons pot-making village of Kyauk-Myaung. One

Return downstream to visit Mingun with its pagodas and the largest working bell in the world. Our
English speaking manager (or your private guide) will accompany the guests during the visit. Moor
overnight at a sandbank mid-stream. After dinner guests can enjoy a Dance and Drama performance by

Early in the morning cruise downstream during the 2 hours journey the passengers can enjoy the natural
beauty of the river and the life of its banks while relaxing on the sundeck or just sitting outside their own
cabin. Sunrise over Sagaing Hill. Visit the old Capital Sagaing, a retreat for Buddhist devotees with
numerous pagodas and monasteries. Back to the ship at 11.00 and sail downriver towards Bagan.

Cruise all day with stop enroute in the morning to visit Myaidaw or Yandabo river village.
DAY 6

Enjoy the sunrise. After an early breakfast, we arrive to Mandalay Gawein jetty at around 09.30/10.00
hrs. Visit Maha Muni Buddha Image and handy crafts workshops such as making gold leaves,
woodcarvings, marble carvings etc. Then proceed to Shwe Kyaung, a monastery once King Mindon’s
royal palace apartment for meditation. Back to the boat for lunch that will be served at 13.00hrs.
The cast off time is scheduled at 13.30 hrs and the sailing time to Mingun is about 2 hours. Our English
speaking manager (or your private guide) will assist the guests during the visit of the Mingun Pagoda
Complex. Moor Overnight at a sandbank mid-stream. After dinner guests can enjoy a Dance and
Drama performance by the Mandalay Arts School on the sundeck (if available).
DAY 7
RV PANDAW CRUISE1947
Early morning sail downriver to Sagaing. During the 2 hours downstream journey the passengers can
enjoy the natural beauty of the river and the life of its banks while relaxing on the sundeck or just sitting
outside their own cabin. The arrival to Sagaing River Station is at about 09.30 hrs. Visit the ancient city
of Ava by coach, sampan and horse cart. The siteseeing includes Maenu brick monastery, ancient
Bargayar monastery famous for its hundreds of teak pillars and the wood curving and Nan Myint tilting
watching tower. In the afternoon visit Amarapura, 11 Kilometers south of Mandalay visiting
Mahagandayon monastery, 1.2 kilometer long U Bein Wooden Bridge and visit silk-weaving
factory.Return to Mandalay. Return to the boat for lunch. In the afternoon visit Amarapura, 11 Kilometers

DAY 8
RV PANDAW 1947 CRUISE / SAGAING / MONYWA (BY CAR)
After breakfast the passengers will disembark at Sagaing jetty at around 09.00 hrs. We visit Sagaing
Hills, a retreat for Buddhist devotees with numerous pagodas and monasteries. Drive to Monywa, on the
eastern bank of Chindwin River, about 136 kilometers to the west of Mandalay, and the land route
journey is about 3hrs drive. Overnight in Monywa
DAY 9
MONYWA / MANDALAY (BY CAR)
Morning visit Pho win hill, on the other bank of the Chindwin River, Than Boddhay temple, the reclining
Buddha. In the evening drive back to Mandalay.
DAY 10
MANDALAY/ HEHO / PINDAYA (BY FLIGHT/CAR)
Morning flight to Heho in the Shan State known for its colourful markets, scenery, country sides and
especially its people, a mixture of tribal races. Drive from Heho airport to Pindaya, a small quite town,
enjoying scenic beauty along the country side. Evening excursion of the town, visiting the lake and the
Pindaya Cave, well known for its countless Buddha Images.
DAY 11
PINDAYA / INLE (BY CAR)

In the morning drive to Inle Lake, 100km from Pindaya. Escursion of the lake well known for its scenic
beauty and its unique leg rower. Tour highlights include Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda; wonderful floating
gardens; floating market on its market day; native method of fishing; traditional weaving villages; and
village life in the lake. (Please note that the floating market is once every 5 days, but may vary according
to the Buddhist Sabathdays).
DAY 12
PINDAYA / HEHO/ YANGON (BY FLIGHT)
Drive to Heho airport for the flight to Yangon. Afternoon visit Sule Pagoda and the City Centre for
shopping.

YANGON ARRIVAL
Arrive at Yangon Airport. Afternoon visit Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image and Shwedagon
Pagoda, one of the wonders of the world, where one can see and enjoy the beauties of the Pagoda and
the life style of Myanmar People.
DAY 2
YANGON / BAGAN (BY FLIGHT)
In the early morning flight to Bagan, the Ancient Capital and Birth place of Myanmar Culture. Morning
siteseeing begins with visit to the Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar satupas; Wetkyiin Gubyakkyi Temple, with fine mural paintings of Jataka scenes; Htilominlo Temple, noted for its plaster
carvings; the Tharaba City Gate, the oldest extent of Bagan architecture. Afternoon visit begins with
lacquer-ware factory, Myinkaba Gubyaukkyi Temple, a typical Mon style temple; Manuha Temple, a
captured king's impression of life in prison; Nanpaya Temple; an earliest masterpiece with its fine stone
carvings; photo stop at Seinnyet Nyima Pagodas, a temple and a stupa with exquisite design and
Mingala zedi pagoda, on of the last ones built in Bagan; sunset from a suitable temple or pagoda.
DAY 3
BAGAN
Morning siteseeing to South East Bagan featuring 13th century temples; Nandamanya; Thambula and
Lemyethna Temples, noted for their fine mural paintings of Mahayanist character. Ananda Temple, an
architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross; and Thatbyinnyu, the highest of Bagan Temples ;
and Bupaya Pagoda, a Pyu style pagoda on the brink of the majestic Ayeyarwaddy River.

M ANDALAY / M AYMIO / MANDALAY (BY CAR)
After breakfast we sail downstream to Mandalay. The passengers will disembark at Gawein jetty at
around 09.30 hrs. Proceed to Maymio. The colonial era hill station of Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymio) with its
beautiful botanic garden and its colonial era buildings is 2 hours drive or 80 km far from Mandalay. In the
surroundings you can visit waterfalls and also the beautiful Peik Chin Myaun cave. We recommend
visiting the town with the typical colonial era horse cart. Back to Mandalay in the late afternoon.
DAY 9
M ANDALAY / KALAW (BY CAR)
Drive to the Shan State, known for its colourful markets, scenery, country sides and especially its
people, a mixture of tribal races. Arrive Kalaw, former hill station of British Raj that still bear the
atmosphere of colonial era.
DAY 10
KALAW / PINDAYA / INLE LAKE (BY CAR)
Morning siteseeing around Kalaw.and then drive to Pindaya, a small quiet town with beautiful lake.
There you can visit Pindaya Cave with its numerous Buddha images in different styles and from different
periods. Proceed to Inle Lake, about 100 km away from Pindaya.
DAY 11
INLE LAKE
Excursion of the lake well known for its scenic beauty and its unique leg rower. Tour highlights include
Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda; wonderful floating gardens; floating market on its market day; native method
of fishing; traditional weaving villages; and village life in the lake. (Please note that the floating market is
once every 5 days, but may vary according to the Buddhist Sabathdays.).
