Amite- According to District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux, on November 29, 2011, Judge
Bruce Bennett sentenced Fredrick Conley, 27, of Independence, LA to 10 years with the
Department of Corrections for Armed Robbery.
Assistant District Attorney Jeff Johnson prosecuted the case.
On September 21, 2010, Conley was an accomplice in the robbery of Joe’s Hill Top in
Independence, LA, along with Antonio Holden, 20, of Pine Grove, LA. Holden was
convicted of the crime in October 2011.
Wearing ski masks, the men entered the store, armed with pistols, and demanded the
cashier give them all the money in the store.
The defendant and his accomplices then fled the scene in an older model, gray, Lincoln
town car. A witness driving by saw this and briefly followed the vehicle, obtaining the
temporary license plate number.
Witnesses reported the robbery to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s office. Through further
investigation, security footage, and witness interviews, police were able to locate the
defendant.
Conley, of 58140 Bickham Chapel Road, must serve his entire sentence without benefit
of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence, Perrilloux said.
