In the event of an absence on a test date, the "make-up" exam will be available in the Success Center for a period of one (1) week. If, in extenuating circumstances, the student is unable to complete the exam during that time frame, the student must have instructor approval for an extension. There will be a 10% reduction of the grade for any make up exam. Make up exams are modified at the discretion of the instructor. Only two (2) make up exams will be allowed per student, per semester. Grading System: The grade for this course will be determined as follows: Tests = 75% Final Exam = 25% Class absences will be deducted from the course grade as follows: .5 for each absence and .25 for each lateness or early departure. Failure to complete any of the course assignments will result in an “I” incomplete grade. Note: As with all competencies, 90% is the passing grade. Students failing the laboratory competencies will repeat the competencies until a 90% accuracy is achieved. Students must complete all laboratory competencies prior to the end of the semester or an Incomplete grade will be submitted.
