Latin American Association Launches LAZOS™, Jan.
15, 2009, a Fully-owned Subsidiary to Support Mission
What:
The Latin American Association (LAA) introduces LAZOS: Connecting
Cultures at Work, a fully-owned subsidiary of the LAA that supports the
mission and work of the LAA in the community. LAZOS is dedicated to
connecting Spanish language and culture in the workplace through
bilingual staffing and recruitment, translations, and uniquely designed
language learning programs.
LAZOS will officially be launched at the LAA’s Open House event,
Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Why:
“We are excited about this innovative approach to nonprofit and corporate
partnerships,” said Laura Sauber, LAZOS managing director, “By forming
LAZOS, we are able to expand our service offerings and bring additional
value to our clients; with the added goal of providing direct financial
resources to support the goals of the Latin American Association.”

Background: LAZOS was previously the Business Unit of the LAA and officially formed
in January 2009. The group has taught language classes to the
community for more than 15 years and has helped bilingual job seekers
find job opportunities for more than 25 years.
LAZOS’s core services lie in three principle areas:
 Language Instruction (group, private and corporate classes)
 Bilingual Recruitment
 Translations (Spanish, Portuguese, English)
All profits generated by LAZOS will go directly back to the LAA to support
the important programs and services that the LAA provides to the local
