Target Audience
This program has been designed for physicians, fellows, residents, physician assistants, QI professionals, professional
nurses, advanced practice nurses in the medical specialties of internal medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology,
pancreatology, nutrition and endoscopy
Series Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
 Integrate evidence from basic and translational science to advance patient care
 Incorporate CDC, AGA, USPTF and other relevant guidelines in clinical practice
 Improve effective communication skills to improve team based care

for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Development is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited
approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

It is policy at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania,
Department of Nursing Education, Innovation and Professional Development for individuals who are in a position to control the
