The Newberg Booster Club will award four annual scholarships each in the amount of
$1000. The scholarships will be awarded to student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in athletics, academics and service. These student-athletes will also demonstrate high standards of commitment and character. The scholarships will be awarded at the All Sports Banquet held at the conclusion of the spring season.
Recipients of the scholarship must be planning to enroll in any accredited two or fouryear college.
QUALIFICATIONS TO APPLY:
Student-athlete must be a graduating senior of Newberg High School.
Student-athlete must have been involved in a varsity sport this current year.
Student-athlete must have participated in at least four sports seasons over the past four years.
The student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and must be college bound.
The student-athlete must have had no violations of the Athletic Code of Conduct during their time at Newberg High School.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
1. Complete the attached application form, which includes information about Athletic
Achievement, Activities and Service, and Employment. Provide additional sheets for responses as required.
2. Provide responses to all short answer questions of the application. (Typed responses preferred.)
3. Include a typed response to the question attached to the last page of the application.
4. Submit all of the above listed materials to the NHS Athletic Director by April 22nd.
