Constanta – very beautiful city-port is
situated in Dobrogea, land between the Danube
and the Black Sea. In the north of Dobrogea, the
Danube Delta lies, a unique place in the world,
famous for its rare species of plants and animals.
Constanta is easily accessible from most
European cities, due to its international airport. It
is a cosmopolitan city with a long historical past
and its inhabitants will be pleased to put at your
service their tradition of being the land of
welcome.
Constanta is a city with an intense,
modern cultural life, which provides a background
for the authentic history and art that lived on for
hundreds of years in the city’s monuments.
Shopping in Constanta is also an experience not to
be missed: visit the department stores on the
main boulevards or little stores; admire antique
dealers, taste the well-known local wines.
The pearl of Romanian summer holiday
resorts – Mamaia - lies next to the city. Modern
hotels, shopping center, diverse leisure activities
and golden beaches, caressed by the sea are
strong reasons to visit it.
Currency. The monetary unit in Romania
is Romanian Leu (RON). Foreign currency and
travelers check can be exchanged in banks, hotels
and change bureau. Many shops will accept the
major credit cards.
Climate and Clothing The average
temperature in June is around 20 Celsius degrees.
