Hispanic Heritage Month
8th grade Biography Project
In commemoration of Hispanic Heritage Month, as 8th graders you will be completing a
Power Point Presentation on an influential / famous Hispanic person. The entire project
will be completed in español. Additionally, you will be recording your voice over your
presentation in español . So, when you are complete, we will watch and hear your power
point presentation in class and in español!
You will be graded on the entire work including your speech so speak clear and loud. Be
creative and make sure that your grammar is correct and your project is complete. (All
questions need to be answered completely) The entire presentation will be completed
not only in Spanish but in the present tense.
The following are the questions you need to answer in your presentation:
1. ¿Quíen es tu personaje? ¿Cómo se llama? Mi personaje se llama…….
2. ¿De dónde es? (If American, then what is their background; where are their
parents from?)
3.. ¿Cómo es? I expect at the very least 4-5 sentences.
4. ¿Qué le gusta hacer?
5. ¿Cuál es su profesión? El/Ella es……
6. ¿Cuáles son sus logros (accomplishments)?
7. ¿Dónde está ahora? This needs to be specific. You need to have current
information. If the person is retired then state it – in español. If the person is no
longer alive then you need to state that and give the date they passed away.

Make sure you have pictures of the person, their work (if tangible), samples
of their music, and anything you think would help us to learn more about them.
Nota: Don’t forget to introduce yourself, in español, so we know who’s presentation it
is.

When the Power Point Presentation is complete, you need to send it to me via
Drop Box. Please make sure you confirm that I have received your Presentation.
Also, when you send me your presentation, label it as follows:
Hispanic Person’s name – your name – class
Example: Selena Gomez-Sra. Barreto 8-6
