Research Experience and Techniques

Agrotechniques: Soilless culture, NFT, soil-solutions-plant tissue analysis, diseases management, grafting, postharvest management, gardening-landscape. Plant identification, Behaviour/biodiversity and ecology of plants and pathogens/insects.

Microbiology: Isolation of culture – bacteria, algae and fungus. Method of staining, isolation, purification and quantification of microorganisms (labelled lectins, biomass, series dilutions, haemocytometer).

Molecular Biology and Biotechnology: DNA/RNA extraction, semiquantitative RT-PCR, Real-Time PCR,

TOPO Cloning, Tissue culture, Enzymes activity-native gels.

Proteomics: Protein-extraction, determination, isolation, SDS-PAGE, 1-DE, 2-DE, protein digestion, protein analysis (Progenesis), sequence and identification.
