Re-Plant Texas Grant Application Half Price Books and Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) are proud to introduce the Replant Texas Grants, which will provide $15,000 in grant funds for replanting trees in KTB affiliate communities affected by Hurricane Ike. Grant Amount: The minimum grant award is $1,000, and the maximum award is $2,500. Eligibility: Eligible applicants are KTB affiliates located in the counties affected by Hurricane Ike that achieved “Good Standing,” “Silver Star” or “Gold Star” status with KTB in 2008. Purpose: Grants will support small tree planting projects on non-profit or public land in KTB affiliate communities affected by Hurricane Ike. Maintenance: If a young tree is going to thrive, it will need to be weeded, protected from damage, mulched, and watered regularly for at least the first two years after planting. Please describe your maintenance plan, including who will be responsible for the above tasks. Timeline: Please list the milestone steps needed to accomplish the project and the expected timeline. Site Plan Site Plan: On a separate page, include a sketch of the site plan. This can be a simple map of the area to be planted, or detailed drawing of the site plan.
