Target Audience
This program has been designed for departmental/institutional faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students in the
medical specialties of gastroenterology, hepatology, pancreatology, nutrition and endoscopy.
Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
 Increase clinically applicable knowledge in the basic and clinical sciences of gastroenterology
 Improve patient satisfaction by improving effective communication skills, establishing best practices for
healthcare utilization and demonstrating professional behavior
 Discuss and review the latest research developments, technical updates, and procedures in gastroenterology
 Increase knowledge of interdisciplinary approaches to managing gastrointestinal diseases

Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

It is policy at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania for individuals who are in a position to
control the content of an educational activity to disclose to the learners all relevant financial relationships that they have

improving medical practice, are based on valid content, and are independent of control from commercial interests and

relative to the topic of their presentation. In addition, all faculty were instructed to provide balanced, scientifically
