The Use of Standby Generators in Support of an Electricity Network
This Engineering Doctorate is looking at the role of Distributed Generation on
an electricity network – focusing on the impacts to owners, consumers and the
network itself. From this work an interest in microgrids and combining existing
small scale generation in a larger network in developing countries.
As part of the doctorate, MSc level modules have been taken in a range of
topics including Carbon Management, Energy in Buildings, Sustainable Urban
Systems, Regulation, Project Management, Business Analysis Practice.
