Complete family tree neatly for 3 generations to best of ability (you, parents, grandparents) Write 3-5 stories from two or more generations (the more the better!) Create a meaningful, creative, and neat project presenting your information Give a quality presentation to the class summarizing who you interviewed, what you learned, and what connection/s you made through this project. OR To earn Basic, the student will . . . Complete family tree neatly for 3 generations neatly to best of ability Write 1 - 3 stories from 1 or more generations The student will earn Minimal if . . . Their information is not complete. There are no stories. ~~~ Memories, holiday traditions, and/or stories can be first person accounts OR passed down through the generations. These can be recorded on the paper attached or create your own using the same format. Please record the name of the person the story is about, the date you wrote it down, and the person who told you the information. Pictures are always helpful, but not required. As family members pass on, we lose some of our family history and traditions. The more family members you can talk with, the better. HAVE FUN!! ~~~ The project is basically anything you want to create that is meaningful to you. If you like pictures or videos, do something with pictures or videos. If you like to cook, do something with cooking. If you like to write, WRITE. If you like scrapbooking, then make a scrapbook for a photo album of memories. Check with your social studies teacher if you have any questions. *****Ask your parents BEFORE you TAKE or CUT any pictures or family heirlooms!!!
