Adenoleukodystrophy (ALD)
Make a poster or booklet of a famous person or family member who has that disorder.
The poster should include the following required Information:
 A picture of the famous person/relative.
 A karyotype of the disorder
 Is the disorder sex-linked including an illustration on the x or y chromosome and gene location
(fig 14-2 in textbook as reference)?
 A mock pedigree chart showing future inheritance of the disorder (possible chances of offspring
having the disorder)
 Is the disorder treatable? Where can they find treatment (treatment centers)?
 Average life span
 Sign and symptoms associated with the disorder.
