The Home Depot Store: Customers can simply bring in any expired unbroken CFL bulbs, place them in a plastic bag and deposit them both in collection unit. Customers will be able to locate the CFL receptacle on the front end of the store near the entrance. There is a charge for all bulbs. Call for current prices. If recycling is not an option, bulbs can be disposed of in your daily trash if placed in two plastic bags and disposed of one at a time. What is Recyclable? Metal household items like beverage cans and steel or tin cans. Just rinse and recycle. Cardboard: Remove all non-cardboard packing material. No wax-coated boxes, milk cartons, or containers with metal ends or rings. Plastics: Look at the bottom of the container. Only those with #1 or #2 no color, #2 with color, including white. Only plastic items that are thinner at the top than at bottom. Remove lids, caps and covers. Newspapers: Stack into paper grocery bags or tie into bundles. No plastic bags, wet paper, magazines, catalogs, or phone books. Magazines, catalogs, and phone books: Place in paper bags. No plastic bags. Not accepted at all sites. Glass Jars and Bottles: Clear glass only. No brown or green glass. Remove all lids, no window glass, ceramic or Pyrex glass, china, dishes, light bulbs, or mirrors. GENERAL RECYCLING GUIDELINES: No oil or anti-freeze containers. Remove all lids, caps, or covers. No Styrofoam, including egg cartons. Separate materials in advance.
