All program payments are non-refundable after the deadline for registration has past. 2.) Prior to registration deadline, a paid participant can drop from the program with a $50 administration fee penalty. 3.) In case of a medical or family emergency, if documentation is provided by a physician, or other authority in the circumstance, a participant can receive a refund of 50% of their registration payment. Participants must contact the administrators as soon as possible to explain the problem, and then will be instructed on how to obtain proper documentation and to submit a request in writing. The program administrators reserve the right to accept or deny any request for this type of refund. 4.) In the event that any program is cancelled by ASL Interpreter Network, a full refund will be awarded to all participants. If a portion of an event must be cancelled by ASL Interpreter Network, all participants will receive a pro-rated, full refund for the remainder of the program that was not delivered. 5.) Upon receipt of enrollment in the 3-month C.R.E.W. program, the participant agrees to purchase the assigned text immediately and follow the reading assignments as assigned. Title, author, ISBN, and any other pertinent edition/translation information will be given. Participants can purchase their text anywhere that is convenient for them. 2.) All participants will be sent an invitation by email from the moderator from ASLIN/CREW at google groups and are required to accept the invitation to join google groups. Follow the instructions given in the invitation email and link to complete the simple joining process. Any email can be used, not only gmail addresses. All on-line assignments and discussions are posted in this forum. If you have never used google groups, it is a very user-friendly, self-explanatory public posting forum lead and supervised by a moderator. 3.) All participants agree to complete all reading assigned, post all listed assignments including discussion response posings on google groups, as listed in the syllabus. 4.) C.R.E.W. coursework is not graded, and so the quality of the work is not examined by the moderator; however, C.R.E.W. participants agree to use academic-level writing skills, which means no abbreviations, proper capitalization and sentence/paragraph formatting, with a clear use of language for all writing assignments so that all participants can understand each other clearly. 5.) C.R.E.W. participants agree to be respectful at all times during discussions on-line and in their writing assignments, refraining from the use of profanity or any statements that are intended to offend or discriminate anyone, on any level of race, religion, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, age, gender, etc. If an unintentional offense if made and pointed out by a coparticipant, C.R.E.W. participants are expected to make a statement of apology and move onto the relevant discussion. No group responses or discussions will stem from this type of incident. 6.) If a participant does not complete all assigned coursework in the program by the due dates listed, or makes postings instead that are not at all related to the writing assignment listed in the syllabus, the moderator will send out one email to remind participants of their responsibilities to the program. If the participant misses one more assignment, or posts another response not in accordance with the syllabus, a second email will be sent, explaining the infraction, and warning that the participant’s full credit CEU’s are in jeopardy. This second warning email will require a response within 72 hours in order to continue in the program. If no response is made by the participant, or a third assignment is missed or misrepresented, a final email will be send to the participant, dismissing them from the current C.R.E.W quarter, with all enrollment fees forfeited and no CEUs earned. 7.) Upon completion of the 3-month C.R.E.W. quarter, ASLIN will email each participant a certificate of completion and post CEUs to RID on-line within 30 days after the end of the quarter cycle.
