3 Definition
Company procedures means the documented methods for performing work activities and includes health and safety, environmental, and quality management requirements. They may refer to manuals, codes of practice, or policy statements.
Element 1
Sort glass containers for recycling and reuse.
Performance criteria

Job requirements are confirmed in accordance with company procedures.
Hazards of working with glass and glass sorting equipment are identified, assessed, and controlled in accordance with company procedures and legislation.
1.3 Sorting of glass containers separates reject containers from others and stores them in accordance with company procedures.
1.4 Sorting of glass containers aggregates them in accordance with company procedures and job instructions.
Range containers may be sorted to crates, bins, or a bath depending on workplace requirements.
1.5 Sorting of glass containers results in minimal breakage of containers.
Please note
Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment.
Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards.
Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
