HCC CCBS Funding Streams
Community Investment fund – Engagement and partnership working, strengthening and
empowering communities, improving quality of life especially for those who are vulnerable
or disadvantaged.






Improve access to services in your area of benefit
Deliver social welfare objectives
Work in partnership
Work towards sustainability
Ensure high quality services
Where appropriate increase volunteering
One round of application deadline 1st October 2012
Will need a range of supporting documents dependant on the level of funding that is
requested.
Decision hasn’t yet been made about upper limit of funding
Also Culture & Recreation Investment fund – similar to above, but focussed on arts,
sport, museums etc
Community Buildings Capital fund – Small scale refurbishment of buildings managed
and operated by the voluntary sector
Projects up to £15,000
One third funding i.e.£5,000
Projects over £15,000
Up to 50% of project cost to a maximum of £12,500
Community Activity Grant – General support to groups and organisations which
encourage and provide opportunities for individuals and communities to participate in
community focussed cultural and recreational activities.
Must deliver measurable results against objectives to ‘Open For Business Plan’ as above
Maximum of £5000 – one application per organisation per year
Armed Forces Community Covenant Fund The aims of the Community Covenant are to:
 encourage local communities to support the Armed Forces Community in their
areas;

nurture public understanding and awareness amongst the public of issues affecting
the Armed Forces Community;

recognise and remember the sacrifices faced by the Armed Forces Community;

encourage activities which help to integrate the Armed Forces Community into local
life;

to encourage the Armed Forces Community to help and support the wider
community, whether through participation in events and joint projects, or other
forms of engagement
Grants from £100 to £250,000 (although bids for amounts greater than this may also be
considered in exceptional circumstances).

Organisational Change Fund –
For all organisations to develop new models of service provision, meeting the challenges
of reduced resources and evolving national policies, whilst improving quality of services for
users.
Grant for up to £10,000
