limited in duration.

Writing for the SAT: In essay format, write
your point of view on Prohibition based on
the following question: “Do you think it was
a good use of the amendment process to ratify
an amendment that was so difficult to
enforce?” Support your point of view with
reasoning and examples from your reading
and studies. The easy should be carefully
structured and written in paragraph form.
Your essay should include three parts: An
introduction, which presents your thesis and
main ideas; a body, which elaborates on your
ideas and supports those ideas with details;
and a conclusion which sums up your point of
view (Rubric provided in Chapter Resource
File, Roaring Twenties page 20)
20’s Glossary. Write a descriptive letter to a
friend, dated March, 1925. Use the 1920s
glossary (provided in the teacher’s notebook)
to compose the letter. The letter should be
creative but reflect the learned material on the
social, cultural and political aspects of the
