Area offices located in Ames, Marshalltown, Fort Dodge and Mason City SCHEDULE: Variable; as needed to perform assigned duties. Generally Monday-Friday 8-4:30, however flexibility in scheduling is necessary to accommodate work duties including travel and group facilitation. SALARY: Schedule 014, Grade 30: Range: $49,940.80 - $77,459.20 GENERAL DUTIES: Conducts Psychosexual Assessments to include clinical interview, psychological testing/test interpretation, risk assessment on adult sex offenders under the direction of the Sex Offender Program Supervisor. Provides professional services to sex offenders and other special needs offenders through testing, counseling, behavior modification, and psychological/sexual assessment. Provides clinical supervision for Department’s Sex Offender Programs. Conducts group and individual counseling with sex offenders, as assigned. Performs related work as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a Master’s degree program in psychology, counseling or social work at an accredited college or university, and the equivalent of two years of full-time post-Master’s degree work experience as a psychologist, counselor or social worker in any setting; or Graduation from an approved Doctorate degree program in psychology, counseling or social work; or The equivalent of twelve months of full-time experience as a Psychologist 1 in state service will be considered as qualifying. Preferred: Certification at the Sex Offender Treatment Professional (SOTP) II level by the Iowa Board for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers. PLUS, ability to travel to various work sites throughout 22 counties in north central Iowa, possession/ability to obtain a valid driver's license, insurability under District's auto insurance coverage. All interviewees are required to take Psychological Assessments. Additional Requirements: Must be bondable to the amount of bond required for the position.
