PRESS RELEASE SOUTH WEST DISTT. Dated: 20/01/2013 BLIND GRUESOME MURDER CASE WORKED OUT. TWO PERSONS ARRESTED. BLOOD STAINED STONE & ACCUSED’s JACKET STAINED WITH VICTIM’S BLOOD RECOVERED Highlights:- Gruesome blind murder case of a casual Labor solved. Deceased developed physical relations towards accused’s paramour, which led to his murder. Two persons arrested Blood Stained Stone and Accused’s jacket stained with victim’s blood have been recovered. With the arrest of two accused persons viz (1) Pushpender (aged- 25 yrs.) s/o Dashrath r/o Prittam’s Plot, Surya Vihar wali gali, Kapashera, New Delhi and (2) Chandan Singh @ Bihari(aged-28yrs.) s/o Late Sarwan Singh r/o Vagabond of PS Kapashera, Delhi, PS Kapashera, South-West District Police has worked out a case of brutal murder, which occurred on the night of 10/01/2013 in the area of Kapashera. Blood stained stone and accused’s jacket stained with victim’s blood have been recovered. GIST OF CASE On 11/01/13 vide DD No.22A a PCR call was received at PS Kapashera regarding a dead body is lying in a pond near Shani Mandir, Kapashera Border. Inspr. MukeshWalia, SHO/Kapashera, Inspr. Om Prakash along with staff reached at the spot where a male dead body aged 30-35 years was found lying turtle. On inspection, some part of head was found missing and was appearing to have eaten by the stray animals like pigs, dogs etc. which were also found moving around the dead body. Finding the matter suspicious ACP/Dwarka and crime team were called at the spot. The corpse was shown to the number of passerby and priest of Shani Mandir but despite best efforts the identity of the dead body couldn’t be established. Bereft of any alternative a case of murder vide FIR No. 08/13 u/s 302/201 IPC PS Kapashera was registered and investigation was taken up in right earnest. BREAKTHROUGH At the outset, to establish the identity of the deceased was the challenge before the police. Message in the context of details and descriptions of unknown dead body was flashed. Crack teams were formed and were dispatched to the adjacent Police Stations. In addition, a local survey of the mass migratory tenant population in Kapashera and Dundahera Villages was conducted by door to door visit with the assistance of the landlords. During this exercise, one room bearing No. 14 situated at the plot of Sh. Hari Chand near Shani Mandir at Kapashera Border was found lying opened for the last two-three days and the lone man working as labour residing in it was also found missing. His address was ascertained from the landlord and his brother & his wife were called from his native village and the body was shown to the family members. Finally the hard work bore fruits and the identity of the deceased was established as Ramesh s/o Sulli r/o village Kedar Tai, PS Garautha, Distt- Jhansi, UP. After establishing the identity of the deceased, Police launched a massive manhunt to trace the culprits. Local enquiries were made by the Police to extract clues about the last seen of the deceased. Sensing the gravity of the case a special team comprising Inspr. Mukesh Walis SHO/Kapashera, Inspr. Om Prakash ATO/Kapashera, SI Jasbir, SI Bijender, Si Vikash, HC Amar Singh, HC Puran, HC Sundar and HC Virender under the supervision of Sh. Samay Singh Meena, ACP/Dwarka was constituted. The team had a detailed investigation plan and started to pursue the available leads. The team did survey the areas adjoining the scene of crime. During this exercise, the police team managed to unearth some vital clues. It was transpired that the deceased had illicit relation with a widow. The team got retrieved and analysed the CDR of the deceased and suspect lady. The analyses depicted that the deceased and lady had frequents talks on the mobile. Accordingly, the lady was interrogated by two different teams at length, who was resiling from her version each time, who also deposed that she had cordial relation with the deceased and is no more concerned with the death of Ramesh(deceased), however, the same version was contradicted by the various circumstances collected by the police. It turned out that deceased had frequent visits in her house, which resulted in developing relations with her. During investigation, the neighbours of the deceased were interrogated at length. One Kanhiya Lal, relative of the deceased deposed that on 10.01.13, he had gone to see the deceased and to know about the condition of his injured finger as they were both working together at a construction site and on the fateful day, the deceased could not go for work owing to injury in his finger. When Kanhaiya reached at Ramesh room on 10.01.13 at about 9.00 PM, three persons namely Raj Kishore @ Raju, Pushpender and Chandan @ Bihari were already present there. Facts further emerged that the above persons were in contact with the above suspect widow in one way or the other. Therefore, the investigation was done keeping in view the suspicion of illicit relations triangle. At last two suspects namely Pushpender and Chandan Singh @ Bihari were nabbed at Kapashera Border on 17.01.13. As the probe intensified and the matter was minutely and deeply focused, prima-facie it appeared that both are dodging Police and was actively involved in the murder of Ramesh. Their contradictory statements were exposed and finally they broke down and confessed to have murdered Ramesh. INTERROGATION & CONFESSION Both accused was subjected to sustained interrogation, who revealed that Ramesh (deceased) had illicit relation with his paramour. He had frequent visits in her house for which Ramesh was warned but he did not mend his way thus he decided to eliminate him. He took the help of her two friends namely Pushpender and Chandan Singh. As per plan, Raju, Pushpender and Chandan Singh enticed the victim in the pursuit of a drink at Kapashera Border and took him from his room at about 10.30 PM and reached Shani Mandir where Ramesh was stabbed several time by the trio and defaced his face with a stone. In order to conceal his deadbody they threw the deadbody in the pond of Kapashera. He originally hails from Madhya Pardesh. ACCUSED NO.2 Name -Chandan Singh Father’s Name - Late Sarwan Singh Address - Vagabond of PS Kapashera, Delhi. Age -28yrs Education -illiterate Present job Family status -Casual labor -poor Accused is an illiterate. He is married and have two children. He originally hails from Bihar and vagabond of PS Kapashera. The main accused Rajkishore @ Raju s/o Gulab Singh r/o Vill- Parasan, PS Atta, Distt.Jalaun UP is absconding. These accused persons either work as casual labor or remain idle and keep on changing their addresses frequently. Raids are being conducted at his known addresses.
