descriptions of unknown dead body was flashed. Crack teams were formed
and were dispatched to the adjacent Police Stations. In addition, a local
survey of the mass migratory tenant population in Kapashera and
Dundahera Villages was conducted by door to door visit with the assistance
of the landlords. During this exercise, one room bearing No. 14 situated at
the plot of Sh. Hari Chand near Shani Mandir at Kapashera Border was found
lying opened for the last two-three days and the lone man working as labour
residing in it was also found missing. His address was ascertained from the
landlord and his brother & his wife were called from his native village and
the body was shown to the family members. Finally the hard work bore fruits
and the identity of the deceased was established as Ramesh s/o Sulli r/o
village Kedar Tai, PS Garautha, Distt- Jhansi, UP.
After establishing the identity of the deceased, Police launched a
massive manhunt to trace the culprits. Local enquiries were made by the
Police to extract clues about the last seen of the deceased. Sensing the
gravity of the case a special team comprising Inspr. Mukesh Walis
SHO/Kapashera, Inspr. Om Prakash ATO/Kapashera, SI Jasbir, SI Bijender,
Si Vikash, HC Amar Singh, HC Puran, HC Sundar and HC Virender under the
supervision of Sh. Samay Singh Meena, ACP/Dwarka was constituted. The
team had a detailed investigation plan and started to pursue the available
leads. The team did survey the areas adjoining the scene of crime. During
this exercise, the police team managed to unearth some vital clues. It was
transpired that the deceased had illicit relation with a widow. The team got
retrieved and analysed the CDR of the deceased and suspect lady. The
analyses depicted that the deceased and lady had frequents talks on the
mobile. Accordingly, the lady was interrogated by two different teams at
length, who was resiling from her version each time, who also deposed that
she had cordial relation with the deceased and is no more concerned with
the death of Ramesh(deceased), however, the same version was
contradicted by the various circumstances collected by the police. It turned
out that deceased had frequent visits in her house, which resulted in
developing relations with her. During investigation, the neighbours of the
deceased were interrogated at length. One Kanhiya Lal, relative of the
deceased deposed that on 10.01.13, he had gone to see the deceased and to
know about the condition of his injured finger as they were both working
together at a construction site and on the fateful day, the deceased could not
go for work owing to injury in his finger. When Kanhaiya reached at Ramesh
room on 10.01.13 at about 9.00 PM, three persons namely Raj Kishore @
Raju, Pushpender and Chandan @ Bihari were already present there. Facts
further emerged that the above persons were in contact with the above
suspect widow in one way or the other. Therefore, the investigation was
done keeping in view the suspicion of illicit relations triangle. At last two
suspects namely Pushpender and Chandan Singh @ Bihari were nabbed at
Kapashera Border on 17.01.13. As the probe intensified and the matter was
minutely and deeply focused, prima-facie it appeared that both are dodging
Police and was actively involved in the murder of Ramesh. Their
contradictory statements were exposed and finally they broke down and
confessed to have murdered Ramesh.

Both accused was subjected to sustained interrogation, who revealed
that Ramesh (deceased) had illicit relation with his paramour. He had
frequent visits in her house for which Ramesh was warned but he did not
mend his way thus he decided to eliminate him. He took the help of her two
friends namely Pushpender and Chandan Singh. As per plan, Raju,
Pushpender and Chandan Singh enticed the victim in the pursuit of a drink at
Kapashera Border and took him from his room at about 10.30 PM and
